Can we please have a total embargo on the C word until November at least?

This house is a C word free zone until the DGCs start dropping massive hints - usually round about the end of August.

My DGCs asked to watch Polar Express DVD 2 weeks ago!

Will the new Argos catalogue have C stuff in it? If so, when I get it I'll have to hide it, because the GDs go through it and cut out all the things they want for, er, That Time of Year.

Maybe we should come up with a list of words/expressions for referring to it but not saying it?

Well - almost everything... Presents bought and wrapped, cards done, puddings made (are you listening notso), lists of food to be bought, I have already got the tree as I bought a growing one last year and it's doing well. But I'm always disorganised and things get left because I imagine I have loads of time left to do it and end up with a last minute stressful panic

QVC always has a C feature in July. I don't tune in to it any more.

I am looking foward to C this year as we are spending it with family in Cape Town. So not to much prep for me.

But pet hate is c music in shops around September time.

It's been raining for three months and the only thing I am looking forward to is a big family picnic on August bank holiday, definitely not THAT time which is still five months away.

no no no, the C word is not to be mentioned in my presence (definitely not presents!) until October at the earliest !

Not to be mentioned in our house till after dh birthday November 15 . Plenty early enough
