Some people are allready in the swing!
Are you?

Annobel Wed 18-Jul-12 20:58:16

No, no, no, no, many times do I have to say it?

Anagram Wed 18-Jul-12 21:11:15

What madness is this???? shock

whenim64 Wed 18-Jul-12 21:25:50

DO you mind?? I'm still preparing for summer! grin

Notsogrand Wed 18-Jul-12 21:30:06

Ahem (discreet cough)

gracesmum Wed 18-Jul-12 21:59:05

Can we please have a total embargo on the C word until November at least?

merlotgran Wed 18-Jul-12 22:04:59

This house is a C word free zone until the DGCs start dropping massive hints - usually round about the end of August. angry

Notsogrand Wed 18-Jul-12 22:11:42

My DGCs asked to watch Polar Express DVD 2 weeks ago!

Anagram Wed 18-Jul-12 22:16:44

Will the new Argos catalogue have C stuff in it? If so, when I get it I'll have to hide it, because the GDs go through it and cut out all the things they want for, er, That Time of Year.

Notsogrand Wed 18-Jul-12 22:23:03

Maybe we should come up with a list of words/expressions for referring to it but not saying it?

I like That Time of Year

.....I can't think of anything else hmm

yogagran Wed 18-Jul-12 22:38:45

Every year I say this and I'll now say it again, and perhaps it might even happen:
"I'm going to be organised and have EVERYTHING done by the end of November"

Anagram Wed 18-Jul-12 22:41:15

hmm Even the T-bird, yoga? grin

yogagran Wed 18-Jul-12 22:46:51

Well - almost everything... Presents bought and wrapped, cards done, puddings made (are you listening notso), lists of food to be bought, I have already got the tree as I bought a growing one last year and it's doing well. But I'm always disorganised and things get left because I imagine I have loads of time left to do it and end up with a last minute stressful panic

Annobel Wed 18-Jul-12 23:09:17

Isn't it possible to change the heading of this thread?

Anagram Wed 18-Jul-12 23:23:23

Yes - 'Preparing for the C Word' would be much more subtle!
Or perhaps not...

Bags Thu 19-Jul-12 06:19:34

Swing? What swing?

Annobel Thu 19-Jul-12 08:18:09

QVC always has a C feature in July. I don't tune in to it any more.

NannaB Thu 19-Jul-12 08:45:34

I am looking foward to C this year as we are spending it with family in Cape Town. So not to much prep for me.

But pet hate is c music in shops around September time.

AlieOxon Thu 19-Jul-12 08:56:37

I am not listening!

Anagram Thu 19-Jul-12 09:02:59

Is there a way I can block this thread so I can't even see it? confused

whenim64 Thu 19-Jul-12 09:07:57

It's been raining for three months and the only thing I am looking forward to is a big family picnic on August bank holiday, definitely not THAT time which is still five months away. hmm

JessM Thu 19-Jul-12 09:13:20

Jeni ! - it was you that started this. I am not even going to read the posts in between.
You STIRRER grin

GoldenGran Thu 19-Jul-12 09:55:04

Nonu Thu 19-Jul-12 12:53:19
