We are going to the pub/hotel my son and his partner run.
We are booked for 12:30 but will probably go a bit earlier as we have presents to deliver.

maddyone Tue 24-Dec-19 22:23:45

My son told me today that lunch will be about 2.30 at his house, which is where we are going tomorrow. We will go before that though as we want to exchange gifts first.

mumofmadboys Tue 24-Dec-19 22:28:58

We plan to eat about 1.30 pm hopefully!

Expect to sit down to the meal around 1.00pm. The turkey is timed to be out of the oven and resting just after 12.00.

1pm the in-laws arrive. 2pm the meal is served. 4pm the toast to absent friends.

I have put the pork joint in the slow cooker and I'm now banned from any further cooking or preparation, but I'm taking bets that I'll be allowed in the kitchen to make the gravy. tchgrin

Whenever we feel like it! Probably around 4pm??

It's only Mr P and I so we just wing it. Scrambled egg and smoked salmon for brunch, then turkey with all the usual bits whenever it happens.

No set time, so no pressure.

NotAGran55 Tue 24-Dec-19 23:40:19

2pm if it all goes to plan( most unlikely)

Around 6.30 pm, allowing for church in the morning, short walk if fine and DH is up to it, and something to watch in the evening. Presents after church, though no surprises expected.

2 o'clock is planned for. DD only lives 20 minutes away so they will come sometime in the morning to help. If we are lucky, and it is supposed to be a sunny day, DH and I might walk down to the sea before they come.
Everything is ready though. Table done, , timing list on kitchen table, all veg prepared. DH said he will make breakfast. I am looking forward to a lovely day. Hope you all are too

1.00 pm on Boxing Day when our 2 DGSs return and all chaos, noise and happiness will return. ?

Iam64 Wed 25-Dec-19 07:38:27

We're still working out what time to eat. Our daughters are coming with their four youngsters and one additional dog, making 3 dogs to keep away from the meat. Thank goodness for the decent size utility with its safety gate - our young spaniel eats anything and I don't want another visit to the emergency vet.
I'm about to go and stuff the turkey, it came out of the fridge an hour ago so should be ok. Then it's off for another muddy dog walk, which will mean two dogs to shower when we get back. The family will arrive sometime between 11 and 12 then it's nibbles, smoked salmon and cream cheese blini's (sausage rolls for the little ones) and present opening. It's always a bit chaotic but happy.
Merry Christmas every one.

Early evening. When I have sorted out and wrapped the presesents .
Its just us for another couple of days. Then the little ones. Well they are not so little. 7 and 4 now.

I have to say I feel quite lonely and I am not feeling very jolly.
My other half is rather unsocial. Or will talk everyone to despair.

LadyGracie Wed 25-Dec-19 08:31:17

We'll eat around 3 with daughter, husband and almost 3 year old granddaughter, 3 on new years day.
Then back to just the two of us.

I know how you feel Resurgam123

When it is cooked....

narrowboatnan Wed 25-Dec-19 08:45:26

We shall probably get around to actually eating our Christmas dinner some time this afternoon. When all the sausage rolls, mince pies and chocolate has gone down. First though we are off over the road to our lovely friend and neighbour for Bucks Fizz and present exchanging. Merry Christmas, Gransnetters xx

Davida1968 Wed 25-Dec-19 08:48:25

3-ish give or take. DH is the chef and will produce a glorious meal, as always. Haven't yet had breakfast!

Grannybags Wed 25-Dec-19 09:26:15

Our Christmas lunch is tomorrow when my two sons, their partners and two granddaughters are coming.
