What’s for tea?

Curried smoked haddock kedgeree tonight, garnished with chives and spring onions. No hard boiled eggs, though - I’ve never understood why they’re a Thing with kedgeree.

Been sanding, filling, painting all day - and just have had enough. Going out for dinner- nothing fancy, just don't want to do anything!

Spag Bol here tonight. Strawberries and Greek yogurt after.

Spicy potato cakes and ratatouille.

Blueberry crumble and Co-op vanilla ice-cream. That's all I'm having because it will be enough. The blueberries are home-grown.

MrB wants a fish first course as well. He might get some peas with it.

Pizza and salad

A roast half shoulder of lamb - very well done to get the fat off - with boiled Jersey Royals, mixed veg (celery, carrots, leeks and peas), lots of proper gravy, and mint sauce.

Unusually separate meals here earlier, Mr J had pasta sauce and pasta I’d frozen, I had smoked haddock, carrots, French beans and a jacket (there was broccoli, but I found a cooked caterpillar in it ?). I’m determined not to have one person meals, because I freeze leftovers, hanging about taking up space.

Made steak pie in my new pie maker today. Very pleased with results DH has now requested meat and potato and cheese and onion. I can just see expanding waists in winter!

Cucumber Sandwiches, Tea and Victoria sponge.

African nut balls with tomato olive sauce over quinoa, broccoli, green salad, baguette, various pudding.

Garbazo aubergine curry, baguette, salad, choice of pudding.

Ribeye steaks, mama potatoes, baked mushrooms, roasted tomatoes. Steak has been our Friday night treat for all our married life.

Ate our main meal out at lunch time - delicious Spanish tapas.

7 dishes between us. Yum.

Just waiting for a Waitrose delivery to our holiday cottage before we decide what’s for supper.

I’m still a bit stuffed really.

As always on a Friday, home cooked fish (wonderfully fresh from our local fishmonger) and chips.
