What's for dinner today?

Chicken pie using up the last sheets of filo pastry, creamy mash and broccoli. DH had the last of his chocolate desserts, I just finished off with a cup of tea.

Asparagus quiche tonight. I will make it later. Plus some sort of salad

Pasta bake with tuna

Pork steaks in bbq sauce (slow cooker), new potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower.

Lamb chops, roast potatoes, mushrooms and grilled tomatoes.

Sole with caper and butter sauce, sautè potatoes and roasted asparagus.
DH had a custard tart for dessert, I had a cup of tea.

Always simple on Wednesdays as OH off to his ukulele group get together. Jacket potato in the air fryer & salad.

Lentil, with many vegetables and 2 potatoes soup. Bread, salad.

Wednesday, no pudding.

Today (Sunday) was chicken stir-fry (lots of veg) with black bean sauce

We went out to a popular local pub. DD's treat for Mother's Day, but a week late.
I had the roast beef with all the trimmings, followed by a Bailey's panna cotta. It was lovely.

Pub dinner - salmon with white wine sauce, new potatoes, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower

Aubergine pizza, salad, fruit.

Sea bream, rice, courgettes, peppers and asparagus

Fish and salad, yuk, what I really fancied was egg chips and beans with a doorstep of white bread thick with butter😳

Home made fish cakes made with smoked mackerel, potato and horseradish sauce. Plus a serving of broccoli and peas

Rice, Dhal and lamb cutlet ( similar to spicy croquette)

Chorizo stew with pasta - quick & tasty after a day at the charity shop.

Smoked Basa, baby sweetcorn, oven-roasted onions, sweet potato and aubergine

Chili beans, rice, cornbread, fruit.

I’ve succumbed, it’s egg, chips and baked beans, with white doorstep buttered, can’t wait for dinner tonight, might have to have it early😳🤣

Pies from the people who just won the Best Piemaker in the Country (or something like that!) Award. With chips and peas (baked beans for dh) We have been having them for years as they are made not far away and we get home deliveries.

Out for lunch with a friend so no cooking tonight🙂
