I've just cooked cheesy-breadcrumbed Basa, with sweet potatoes and oven-roasted Mediterranean vegetables. (It's a Gousto recipe I had ages ago) Gorgeous.

Today I made mince and dumplings with buttered cabbage and mash. We had an ice lolly each for dessert. It's been a drizzly sort of day so I made comfort food.

Yes! Salcombe it is beautiful, parking, just impossible, Park and Ride only operates in high seasonsad

You do realise Callistemon we're derailing this thread, in spite of numerous mentions of South Hams, it would be disingenuous to suggest that "the hams" are part of anyone's dinner shock

Callistemon21 Wed 28-Jun-23 22:53:55

Ham, egg and chips, Terribull 😁
(Actually, that's not true, it was chilli!)

But I'll never forget that one trip to Salcombe with two small children!.

I used to live in the South Hams.

Tonight

Chicken curry, followed by strawberries and ice cream.

A friend invited us round for dinner. I'm only taking Lentil Shepherd's Pie. They are doing all the nibbles, salads, breads and pudding.

I do think my husband is pondering taking Prosecco.

I made a large lasagne for 5 today. We had loads of salad with it followed by shop bought lemon meringue pie and ice cream.

Jaxjacky Sun 02-Jul-23 15:40:32

Roast beef, roast potatoes (jacket for me) cauliflower, carrots and cabbage.

TerriBull Sun 02-Jul-23 15:47:26

Rather than cook two meals, I've made a vegetarian lasagne to accommodate the vegetarian member of the family, which we will all eat with accompanying Jersey Royals and green beans. For pudding, I've made an almond flavoured sponge sandwiched together with raspberries and cream, washed down with a glass or two of Sauvignon Blanc Hope to eat outside, don't think it will rain, fingers crossed.

We don’t eat till between 7-8pm most nights, but on Sunday it’s normally 6.30ish.

Today it’s roast beef, roast potatoes & celeriac, yorkshire pudding, sweetheart cabbage along with tender stem broccoli.

As much as I like food from around the world, you can’t beat a Sunday roast.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 02-Jul-23 16:20:08

Marinated salmon with salsa.
