I've just cooked cheesy-breadcrumbed Basa, with sweet potatoes and oven-roasted Mediterranean vegetables. (It's a Gousto recipe I had ages ago) Gorgeous.

I've done a shake and bake type chicken thighs (you coat it in flour and herbs and spices and it crisps up) on top of a vegetables in a gravy/garlic type sauce.

Sliced potatoes, leeks and carrots baked in a white sauce with cheese on top. It is one of Delia's frugal dinners and very tasty.

I'm going out for dinner - don't know what's on the menu but the host is a very good cook, so I'm expecting!

As my American friend would say, I better go and get gussied-up smile

There’s an old fashioned Toad in the Hole in the oven right now. We’ll have it with onion gravy, mash and peas.

Very disappointed. Sauce was very salty, despite using low sodium soy sauce. And because my oven is so rubbish, instead of the meatballs being in for 25 minutes, they took almost an hour to cook.

I will try them again, but make the meatballs bigger, and fry them instead of baking them.

The rice was nice though 😋 👌

Our oven is on it's last legs, Hurdy Gurdy and really unpredictable. The chicken wings should have taken 40 minutes or so. I am on my 3rd drink while we wait.

A very nice chilled white wine accompanied by a couple of breadsticks. DH has cooked himself a steak with sauté potatoes and mushrooms.

(I have been out with two of our DiL’s for a spa day including lunch)

I made a Moroccan lamb and vegetable tray bake, and served it with giant cous cous and green beans. DS came for dinner and polished it off. No leftovers!
