When the men awoke from their stupor They knew that they'd made a blooper So with no catch to show To the chip shop they'd go For six pennorth and freshly caught grouper
Their wives were expecting a catch At least one, or perhaps a nice batch Their flour, eggs and breadcrumbs were pining For special wining and dining But now they’ll be cooking from scratch
