Gnome people invading garden

This is my first post on this website, so hopefully this works. I am looking for some advice. Little gnome people keep crawling through the holes in my fences and gnawing at my daisies and pumpkins. No one believes me when I tell them, they think it's foxes, but I know those sneaky little buggers all too well, they're definitely up to something and I have to find out what, but no one I know will help me, so I came here in the case that someone has had a similar experience? Please share any solutions if so.

Agree Wyllow3.

I've had a complaint.

Apparently this thread is gnomist and is causing a great deal of stress to the gnome community.

Brilliant, I needed a giggle.

My gnomepeople are disguised as squirrels, they dig up my pots and tease the birdies.

Don't they come from Zurich? I recall Harold Wilson thought so.

I don't think this is a battle you can win GrandmaMaples, just just declare a truce and settle on a Gnoman'sLand.

Maybe put this game out in your garden for and while their occupied playing it catch them with some gnomemade traps

Allira Sat 07-Feb-26 15:51:43

Then what? 😲
Keep them indoors? Are they house-trained?

Where's GrandmaMaples - she wanted advice about her problem and no-one is taking it seriously!
Her first post on GN too.

Gno idea.

Gnomatter. Freedom of speech and all that.

Our lot have started using gnomatic drills to dig a tunnel under the fence. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

If I have gnomes in the garden, I just let the cat out. One glimpse of her fangs and claws streaking across the patio and it's gnome contest, they're away to gnomemansland at the speed of light.

They adore tulip bulbs in pots and you won’t know a thing until nothing grows🀬

I wonder if they are in league with the Borrowers. My secateurs, my favourite ones - the battered ones which only work when used by me, have disappeared - again!

Yes, and they will gnome school the GC

Coopers of Stortford have a set of yoga gnome garden ornaments for sale at half price. Maybe buy a set so your gnomes feel at gnome?

Scribbles Sun 08-Feb-26 14:40:02

I have been told by a family member that, even more effective than a moggie, keep a grindlepig in the garden and the gnomes won't come near.

Don't be fooled by their cute pointy hats and cheeky rosy faces. They are, deep down, black-hearted and the next thing to the Devil incarnate.

They'll assert Squatters Rights over the Wendy House if you give them half a chance.
