Please, please, please pray for my precious 4 year old grandson, who has a lump on his neck and will soon be going for an operation/ biopsy on the lump. Whichever God you pray to, please remember to mention my little boy. I am in total anguish, not just for my grandson but for his parents, my son and daughterinlaw. It must be so hard for them. He is an active little boy and we are hoping there's nothing nasty going on. But even the thought of him having an operation scares me. When he went to see the Consultant, he was so scared, crying and didn't want to go. I know he is in good hands, and the Nurses will be specially trained to deal with their little patients. But I can't get him out of my head ...I am beside myself with worry. Thanks for listening xx

You are in my family’s prayers. May strength surround all around him.

Thinking of you (it's the nearest I can get to praying).

It has to be checked, just in case it's nasty, but mostly they're harmless.

I'll pray for you all tonight. I had a lump on my neck at the same age and it turned out to be that I had scratched my neck and it got infected. Things aren't always as sinister as they seem. flowersxxx

I hope that it is nothing serious and is soon resolved.
It could be an infected lymph node if he is fighting off infections.

Sending positive thoughts to you all

I’m not very good with words at times like this. But what I do know is that children cope far better than you expect and once this is all over he will bounce back.

Ellianne Wed 03-Jun-20 09:15:45

I hope all goes well for your grandson and his family.

Dear CrazyH of course you are frantic with worry. Especially when it concerns the little ones our imaginations go from 0-60 in as many seconds.
Praying it will not be serious of course, but if you can, focus on what doctors often said to us - “We look for the commonest things first” and there will be many many more of those than we laypeople know about.
Please let us know flowers

Praying for you and your grandson. This is a terrible anxious time for you and if you believe in God I suggest you put yourself in His hands to give you the strength to get through this. Hold the line. Love and hugs.

Dear CrazyH,
I have been down the dreadful pathway you may now be travelling on. Hopefully not. My precious grandson was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer when he was two. My heart just broke but you put one foot in front of the other, day after day after day. You offer whatever support and help you can and, in our case, I was so incredibly aware of the sheer good fortune of living in a country that offered the best possible specialized health care and treatment. The year of his treatment was the worst year of my life.

My special one is now ten and thriving but some of the little ones we met on the journey did not survive and my heart just wept for those families. I can't offer prayers but my heart and thoughts go out to you, your family and your precious little one. Sometimes I just had to go outside and look at the beauty of the stars to keep my sanity. ?

Dear CrazyH,

Still praying, ???.

Puzzler61 Wed 03-Jun-20 21:06:18

Thinking of you crazyH, your little GS and his parents and hoping it will be declared a harmless lump or cyst.
A stay in hospital, an operation, all scary for one so young, but children do make amazingly speedy recoveries.
My daughter had a lump in her neck which grew and was unsightly but didn’t hurt. I had all the fears you have, but it was not malignant. It was a cyst filled with hardened infected matter and was successfully removed. Just a small scar which is fading with time. I hope your little one is lucky too ? ?

Justwidowed Wed 03-Jun-20 21:44:25

Thinking of all your family and praying that God will give you strength and hope. The biggest majority of lumps are harmless and I pray that his is too.
