Hello all. Sunny and bright in west midlands after having a few days away with the son at country retreat. Now a long weekend ahead

gillybob Fri 15-Jun-18 06:43:22

Good morning Stevie and everyone . I didn’t realise there were 2 good morning threads these days !

Hope you enjoyed your country retreat (sounds very posh ) enjoy your weekend ahead . smile

Hello Stevie. ‘Sunny and bright’ reminds me of an old childhood chant, perhaps brownies. Let’s hope it stays that way over the weekend.

Marydoll Fri 15-Jun-18 07:06:51

Morning all. Breezy here and cool.☹️
Have a good weekend everyone.

stevierichards1954 Fri 15-Jun-18 07:14:02

Hi all. Was a great break away. Steam rooms relaxation saunas massages.
Then we came back to real life lol

NfkDumpling Fri 15-Jun-18 07:40:39

Mick beat Stevie by .08 seconds! So I went with Mick. Morning Stevie!

stevierichards1954 Fri 15-Jun-18 08:00:17

The top five good mornings didn't include a Fri. Thought I would start one myself lol

gillybob Fri 15-Jun-18 08:10:44

Jeez 0.8 seconds ! A good morning competition!
That’s far too much for me to cope with first thing stevie grin

stevierichards1954 Fri 15-Jun-18 08:24:20

Me too Gilly. Other things to sort out. Lol

MawBroon Fri 15-Jun-18 08:39:50

It’s not a competition to see who gets going first is it? Many of us are awake earlier and I for one am happy to let Mick start his thread as he always has done.

Greyduster Fri 15-Jun-18 08:43:59

I thought we had put this to bed last week?

kittylester Fri 15-Jun-18 08:49:33

Morning gd! So did I. Exactly, maw!

Marydoll Fri 15-Jun-18 08:52:10

Ditto.

SilverDarlings11 Fri 15-Jun-18 08:53:52

Ditto--Slainte+

Mapleleaf Fri 15-Jun-18 09:04:46

It must be a man thing, this desire to be first?

MawBroon Fri 15-Jun-18 09:10:34

Not our Mick.

Mapleleaf Fri 15-Jun-18 09:14:02

No, I don't mean our mick. I've just thought how that might look. ?

MawBroon Fri 15-Jun-18 09:20:00

I know you didntgrin just wanted to make it clear.
Apologies!

kittylester Fri 15-Jun-18 09:21:24

Did anyone mention Mick wanting to be first, mapleleaf?

MawBroon Fri 15-Jun-18 09:28:22

No they didn’t and I don’t think that is what was meant at all so apologies if I made it seem so blush

kittylester Fri 15-Jun-18 09:41:25

I apologise if I misunderstood. It's not Mick's fault if he is part of our morning routines.

Being the originator of the good morning thread , which I first did when I joined Gransnet a few years ago, the only time I do not do it is when I am away.
History wise I started to do originally on the former Saga Zone , and also I started also on Silversurfers as well, plus another age related site for over 50`s
Mick

MawBroon Fri 15-Jun-18 09:44:23

And I for one am happy for things to remain like that Mick

stevierichards1954 Fri 15-Jun-18 09:45:24

So in the cafe does this mean we have to wait to say hello to others in here?
Or if another thread starts does it have be a different title?

MawBroon Fri 15-Jun-18 09:46:26

It might avoid confusion Stevie.
