Hi I havnt had a period for three years and then start d bleeding heavy , scan showed thickening of the womb should be 4 mm mines was 6mm . Having a hysterectomy done and a biopsy under ga tomorrow . Ovaries were fine and cervix were fine on scan . Worried has anyone else gone through the same thing or similar thanks

Very new to this web site. Living my life partly in Scotland partly in Spain. Don't know any Grandparents in Spain so Im thinking that this group will do me the world of good. Had some real positive answers in a question I had yesterday. It certainly made me feel that I wasn't alone anymore. The Spanish do things completely differently.... And my husband and I want to get things right from the word go.

There should be somebody on GN living in Spain but where I do not know. Maybe start another thread and ask.

New to GN, only realised it existed through mumsnet. Looking forward to being part of the community. Live in Surrey with husband and cats, 57yrs old, 3 children, 4 ( soon to be 5) grandchildren, 2 parents and work full time.

Hi my problem is my daughter and granddaughter live 13,000 miles away and I am struggling because I miss Xmas s , birthdays etc. I can’t afford to go over very often And neither can she. We do FT but it’s not the same as being there. I am beginning to feel we are drawing apart. Any suggestions please ?

I'm semi retired and work as a mentor for writers who want to get published as well as writing myself. I'm also a genealogist and have a blog about my family. I have 3 grandchildren - all girls, with another one due in November. I'm still married after 40 years - too lazy to get a divorce - no I love him really, but thank you for all the opinions, comments and advice and I look forward to corresponding with more of you.

Hi everyone. I was recommended to Gransnet by a friend and thought it sounded like a bit of fun. My granddaughter started school last year so I don't look after her on Tuesday like I did for the first 4 years of her life. I now have even more free time than I did then. It's great being retired, I can do what I like. I'm a volunteer and do Wriggly Readers at the local library; I'm secretary of a local writers' group; I host a Scrabble session once a fortnight to raise money for World Wide Cancer Research.....and now I've joined Gransnet! I look forward to participating in your discussions.

If you want to meet up with others for coffee, if eg you live in London, choose an area preferably with decent transport links and parking and maybe choose a somewhere to have the coffee. I have met some lovely people that method.
