New to Gransnet?

Hi all,
First can we just introduce ourselves. This is Eloise , Charlotte and Emily and we are second year students at college (18 years old) studying English at A level.
We just wanted to come on here and chat as we are studying conversations from this website and love the idea that there is a website out there for the help and support on different issues. We have enjoyed reading the conversations you have and would love to hear back from you.

Hello Purplepixie and all the other gns. I'm new too Purplepixie, it can take a little while for others to respond but at the moment it may take a little longer than what has been the norm. Posters have had problems accessing the Cafe and hence this thread. I discovered a couple of days ago that it was accessible on the mobile but not the desktop site. Both seem to be working okay, for me at least, now.

Hi I’ve literally just joined. I found it whilst googling grandparents and Coronavirus (don’t worry I’m really not obsessed with it and haven’t stockpiled any loo rolls!). We moved area to look after our 3 grandchildren all under 4 and whilst it’s great I do miss having friends nearby. So maybe this site will help ?

Hi, I have just rejoined after a social media break of about 2 years. I must confess to progressively lurking on this site and recently thought just rejoin then I can make comments instead of laughing, applauding or muttering to myself.
