Do they exist any more? I think I'm about to succumb to one any minute now hmm

gracesmum Mon 21-Jan-13 12:02:11

They may be called stress but yes they exist - are you serious? Or hmm??

Marelli Mon 21-Jan-13 12:05:06

Are you ok, Kali?

Kali Mon 21-Jan-13 12:10:12

I can't be sure grace... i feel like that picture 'The Scream'. It's not the four GKs wrecking the house, or the dog that's to be taken to the vets this afternoon, it's the 90 whole minutes spend on the phone to Saga Car Insurance Customer 'Service' and their b****y unfriendly website. Don't need this at the moment.
I suppose I'll struggle through, I usually do. We all do I suppose.

Ceesnan Mon 21-Jan-13 12:10:12

Can anyonr help?

Ceesnan Mon 21-Jan-13 12:10:47

That sould have been anyone

Kali Mon 21-Jan-13 12:11:11

And Mr K is having a bad brain day.

Ceesnan Mon 21-Jan-13 12:11:35

Ipad finger this morning, that should have been should!

Kali Mon 21-Jan-13 12:12:26

Just the fact that there are three people put there who have responded does help xxx

Grannylin Mon 21-Jan-13 12:12:57

Hope you are ok Kali but that's a big coincidence.Am about to phone Saga car insurance as, like you, I picked up my new(ish) car at the weekend but still no sign of my insurance after sorting it a week agoflowers

Kali Mon 21-Jan-13 12:13:39

Better pul myself together, the GKs have finished lunch and are getting restless.
Thanks for allowing the vent smile

Marelli Mon 21-Jan-13 12:15:56

Sometimes we just need to be able to 'tell' someone, don't we? Nothing heavy - just a blether. flowers

glassortwo Mon 21-Jan-13 12:16:23

kali hope you are ok, come and have a chat if it will help flowers

Oh grannylin they said it had to be emailed and came through on something called MySaga, which refused to recognise my policy number. Customer Services were useless and I wasn't allowed to speak to technical support directly as they were 'not trained on the phone' so everything had to be related through a third party and it was liked Chinese whispers. Still nothing worked. I've had to threaten to cancel all my polices then the agreed to send hard copies of insurance guaranteed delivery tomorrow. As you know you can't tax a car without these. It's the sheer mental effort you have to put in to get anywhere and the frustration that leaves you drained.
Thank goodness my GKs are being 'good'ish.

Kali Mon 21-Jan-13 12:20:03

Thank you all you lovely people.
Will go and put the 1 & 2 year old down for nap now. I feel better already smile

gracesmum Mon 21-Jan-13 12:22:19

Are you making a claim? If not could you tell Saga insurance where to go? I use Sk*da car insurance and even their recorded music is soothing!grinAlso, No I am not on commission, they are unfailingly helpful! Note to Grannylin too!
4 GC does sound like ahandful and trip to the vet worrying? Frustration overload is what you are suffering from - hope you can get a bit of peace soon and a nice brew If not - there are listening ears around to sound off to flowers

shysal Mon 21-Jan-13 12:24:29

If you tax a car on line it automatically finds your insurance information, so no hard copy required kali.
I hope things look up for you soon. sunshine

Kali Mon 21-Jan-13 12:30:29

Sat them all down to watch CeBeebies for a few minutes! Yes, a cop out I know! I'm changing cars this week so need to transfer insurance. Also the dealer is taxing the car for me but needs my new insurance details. I usually do this myself online but they offered to do it for me.
Yes, it's overload. That's exactly what it is. Talking here is like letting steam out of the pressure cooker.
But really must get the little ones to bed if they are going to be awake in time to allow me to get to vet.

gracesmum Mon 21-Jan-13 12:42:48

I bought a new car at the weekend (as you do) and got free 7 day insurance from S**da to enable the dealer to tax the car and cover the time to arrange new insurance. In the end I stayed with existing people as they were the cheapest quote - no increase on what I was paying for my little Fabia. It was all made very easy for me (fortunately, being a greyhound of very little brain)smile

Bless their little polyester socks. That's two down and two playing quietly. All schools and nurseries closed here today as snow and ice is deep and crisp and even. Sent Mr K out to local shops. Hope he remembers his way home hmm not sure that was a wise move.

grace that's amazing. I only have six weeks left on present insurance but had to pay £25+ to get a transfer. I'm going to dump Saga in March and try S**da if they'll take on a Nissan driver.

Having a nice brew and going to get knitting out. Very soothing. Thanks again lovely people.

cheelu Mon 21-Jan-13 12:54:41

Kali you are right we do get through it some how--but if there is anything that we can help with please say..Dont forget to take care of yourself and give yourself some time out because if you dont take care of yourself how will you be able to take care of anyone else x

Bez Mon 21-Jan-13 13:13:59

We too have just changed the car and have Saga insurance. Ford gave us a week's insurance so the car could be taxed etc (in fact no tax payablegrin ). Saga were very efficient in that they marked the policy to change to the new car on the date I gave them.
Then we had the problem with the insurance documents too and the same thing with the website not recognising the policy number etc - this was more than a week ago so you would have thought it would have been sorted by now. As we were leaving to travel to France within a few days they did agree to send the paper copy by guaranteed delivery and the postman was sitting in his van waiting for signs of life in the house at 7-30 am the following morning. He told OH that it had cost something like £15 to send the documents to us.

Sel Mon 21-Jan-13 13:22:15

You're amazing Kali your morning would have driven me mad without four GCs to look after. Hope the afternoon brings a bit of peace after the vet- you're so right with the comment about the sheer amount of effort required to do such a simple thing. Utterly draining. Pity it's not wine o' clock smile

petallus Mon 21-Jan-13 13:31:20

I know that feeling Kali Really, like I'm suddenly going to lose it big time.

Four GC, and young ones at that, no wonder you feel frazzled!

I'm guessing you will start to feel better before long.

Incidentally, isn't Kali an Indian Goddess?

If so, perhaps you can take strength from that smile

yogagran Mon 21-Jan-13 13:32:31

I like graces phrase "frustration overload" - that is SO descriptive smile
