Just had a go at this quiz on the BBC www.bbc.co.uk/guides/zg3hk7h

My body age is 10 years above my actual age!! Please tell me I'm not the only one grin

GrandmaMoira Sat 06-Aug-16 20:40:39

I'm 64 and my body age is 71. If I wasn't previously a smoker, it would be 57.

Greenfinch Sat 06-Aug-16 19:51:57

I hope not. I came out at 10 years older.

Of course it's bullocks, no one is taking this seriously.

Are they hmm

The problem with broad brush tests like this is that sometimes you do not fall into any of their groups and have to make a choice.

For example, smoking; I smoked about one cigarette a month for about 5 years and 10 a week for three or four months. Not exactly not smoking, but not being a smoker either. I classified myself as a non-smoker. I had the same problem with alcohol consumption. I suspect others had similar problems.

Does anyone really think eating five lots of fruit and veg a day will prolong your life? Or make you feel any better when your back hurts first thing? hmm Hardly likely. It's genetics that count. And why can't you eat meat and veg, and fish and dairy? Do they only eat one meal a day?

Like I say. Bollocks.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 06-Aug-16 16:10:06

That quiz is absolute bollocks crap rubbish. I could disprove a lot of that 'advice'.

Body age 3 years older ?

MargaretX Sat 06-Aug-16 11:36:40

5 years younger, don't eat 5-a day. It just doesn't suit my digestion, any way.
I disagree with the whole concept and think the potato is a vegetable. Then I would lose another 3 years.

Worlass Sat 06-Aug-16 11:14:12

Oh heck! Ten years older. Taking it with a (small) pinch of salt, as I am as healthy, if not more so, than other people I know of my age.

tiredoldwoman Sat 06-Aug-16 06:10:15

Gosh , I scored 12 years younger ! But I look like a wreck !!

Jalima Fri 05-Aug-16 20:49:50

Greyduster I agree, I have eaten fish three times this week so far and meat twice.

6 years younger, perhaps if I lose a stone or two I may end up as 21 again.

nannydoggies Fri 05-Aug-16 20:19:20

16 years younger made my day

Gemmag Fri 05-Aug-16 19:47:05

19 years younger. If I give up walking the dog and the wine I'll be back in my teens!.
Crikey.

Liz46 Fri 05-Aug-16 16:41:19

14 years younger. My husband does not look convinced!

Libbysmum Fri 05-Aug-16 14:22:32

I'm 22 years below!!

Esspee Fri 05-Aug-16 13:21:41

Haven't had time to do the quiz yet but last time I had a bone scan I was told my bones are 17 years younger than expected thanks to HRT. My mother suffered (and I mean SUFFERED) from osteoporosis so it has always been a worry to me.

Bluecat Fri 05-Aug-16 11:34:35

I'm 5 years younger, apparently. Funny, as I feel 10 years older.

Blinko Fri 05-Aug-16 07:44:39

6 years younger. Haven't smoked for nearly 30 years, but I guess it must still count against you. So glad I gave it up, though.

Badenkate Thu 04-Aug-16 23:56:31

Apparently I'm 21 years younger than my 68! Don't feel it as at the moment I'm struggling to get up steps with a dodgy knee. Never mind, perhaps it'll put a spring in my step tomorrow ☺

jenn Thu 04-Aug-16 23:32:39

2 years younger, not bad for a smoker of 20+ years ;no drinking and a horse seem to have balanced it out.

Deedaa Thu 04-Aug-16 22:09:17

I am 1 year younger, being reasonably truthful!

NanKate Thu 04-Aug-16 21:21:23

49 am 69 smile

downtoearth Thu 04-Aug-16 20:27:26

46 am 63

M0nica Thu 04-Aug-16 19:49:25

Me to (20 years younger), I do not believe it.

Nandalot Thu 04-Aug-16 19:49:20

Exactly the same as my age!
