So sad to hear this . Have you thought of Marie Curie nurses. ? A friend found them so good staying overnight to let her get some rest when her DH was so ill .

Merlotgran I'm devastated to read this. Please do not be afraid If your daughter has to go into the hospice. They are amazing places where you can be her mummy and not her carer.

Can do nothing but send love to you all in this sad, terrible time. You have my sympathy but also my admiration for being such a strong and incredible mother.

I’m so very sorry to hear this devastating news. As a mum who lost a daughter many years ago, I know the pain you bear. The time you have left is so very precious. Make full use of all the help available (hospice at home etc). The day will come when you can take comfort from the knowledge that you did your best for your cherished daughter and she was able to spend her last days on earth surrounded by love. You are giving her the most wonderful gift.

merlot there are no words to ease your situation and yet I know from experience that there is some comfort to be had from the kindness of others. You will get through this time because you must and because your daughter needs you - please know that you do so with my prayers and good wishes and, as you see here, those of your Gransnet family who, I have no doubt, will be quietly journeying alongside you at this difficult time.

I cannot imagine how you feel, and I wish I could say some words that would help, but none would be good enough.

I am so sorry to read this. My thoughts are with you.
My sister came home to die, she was cared for by her husband and my Mum and Dad.
Looking back, l do wonder if she would have been more comfortable in the Hospice but it’s too late now.
Now is not the time to feel self -conscious, let her know how much you love her and say everything you want to say.
The McMillan nurses were a great support to my sisters husband.
It was also important to let people have time alone with her, but of course you know your own situation best

What an awful position to be in. If I were you I would be wanting to change places with my daughter. All you can do is the best you can manage for her and know that had things been different she would have done the same for you.
