Tough time ahead Merlot

Thank you all again. DD2 and I have been reading all your lovely messages tonight. It's one of those nights when tears don't matter. We're tired and emotional but feeling better than yesterday which was exhausting due to DD's delayed discharge (seven hours) from hospital.

The boys are coping well. They have the support of their girlfriends and their student jobs working in the local pub means they have contact with old school friends and locals who have known their mother since she was at primary school.

Having lost my father at the same age I know it's going to be far tougher than they think but we'll be ready for that.

Dear Merlotgran, this is my first ever post despite being a member for some time.
I just want to send you my deepest sympathy, a post like this puts everything else into perspective. I wish you strenght for the coming weeks my thoughts are with you and your family.

I can only echo what others have said Merlot; I'm thinking of you and your family.

Merlot my heartfelt thoughts go out to you and your family. It is the hardest thing you will ever go through, no one can prepare themselves for losing a child. I hope your remaining time with her can be special. Accept all the help you are offered, and I hope you are getting the support you all need. I work in a hospice - they are amazing places and so supportive to patients and their families; you can usually see people who are admitted start to relax almost immediately. Do consider it if circumstances become too difficult for you all. Wishing you all peace. Xxx
