I have several of these brown rough areas. i asked the practice nurse if the doctor would remove them for me, she said the doctor would just laugh at me .

Now I have a small one just below my eye and I'd like it removed before it gets any bigger. Should I ask the GP, or try to get it done by some beauty therapist?

PS
Re-reading that post, it does sound as if the GP removed my leg. Don't worry - the leg is still there, minus the keratosis.

In your position, I'd definitely speak to my GP.

They sound like Seborrheic Keratosis which is very different from Liver Spots “ age spots”
I opened a thread about this some weeks back and was also told it was apart of ageing , very true liver spots are but not Seborrheic Keratosis , they are very raised and ugly .
I have both and know the difference .
I am on the list to have Keratosis removed at the beginning on 2020 ...I’ve seen the consultant and none are suspicious .
Always worth having them seen by a GP so ignore the Practice Nurses advice no Doctor will laugh ,

This website might be useful. Solar Keratosis was the variety I had on my face.
