Joce345 Thu 30-Apr-20 12:42:39

Sorry don’t know how to do it in one

Doodle Thu 30-Apr-20 19:54:48

Thought provoking joce

Anniebach Thu 30-Apr-20 21:27:07

Joyce. Thank you, will we learn this time I wonder x

Doodle, ironing ? something familiar about that word, ?

I have done little today, will have to start on the 140 bottles !
having a nap in the afternoon is rather a habit now, Missing
the word games on the iPad.

I have been thinking of nanny for sometime, hope all is
well.

Doodle Thu 30-Apr-20 22:03:46

nanny and nonnie too. Hope they’re both ok.

Is it your hands that stop you doing the word games on the iPad annie? Have you tried using one of those little pen things to tap the keys with. Obviously I realise you have to hold it which might make it impossible but I wondered if it might help. Hope you sleep well x

Anniebach Thu 30-Apr-20 22:12:28

Doodle those hand things are useless, and I hold the iPad in
one hand which is twisting my fingers, have to accept it, have
my audio books, but chatting on this forum is as near I get to
conversation

lavenderzen Thu 30-Apr-20 22:12:30

Just to wish everyone a peaceful evening and a good nights sleep. Take care, stay safe, love to all xx

Hi all x

How is everyone ?

It’s difficult to cope with anxiety and depression whilst the
country is in turmoil isn’t it ?

There is no need to hold back talking of our difficulties on this
thread .

I am having difficulty trying to think ahead to overcoming the
agoraphobia. Had worked it all out in the winter , now feel
fed up of trying to work out a new plan. The thought of waiting until next Spring !

SalsaQueen Fri 01-May-20 20:23:13

Anniebach Agoraphobia must make life difficult. Not too long until spring, hopefully.

I have had a couple of days of feeling "out of sorts". I had Cellulitis in my face(!) last week, and was on 2 different antibiotics. The GP told me to stop my antidepressants (Mirtazapine). I didn't. I cut them down to 1/2 a day, and then I felt strange after a few days, so went back to my usual dosage (45mg). I'm OK now, but I'm glad it's the weekend (still been going to work as I don't get paid for being off sick)

How is everyone doing today? I thought "sod it" and have had a couple of vodkas this evening grin. I hope I'll sleep better tonight.

Doodle Fri 01-May-20 21:02:15

annie have you thought of a book seat for your iPad. I don’t hold mine I just put in on the seat (like a large shaped bean bag) and I can type with one finger and do sudoku etc with just one hand.
I am the same annie. The thought of being in for another 12 to 18 months is so daunting that I just don’t. I have convinced myself it won’t be that long. We are all having our wobbles I think.
salsa how are you. Sorry you have been poorly, that doesn’t sound nice. Glad you are feeling a bit better hopefully the weekend will help.

Anniebach Fri 01-May-20 21:28:40

SalsaQueen sorry you were out of sorts, stopping anti depressants abruptly causes withdrawal but I am sure your GP
had to decide which medication was most needed at that time.
Enjoy the weekend x
Yes agoraphobia makes things difficult and I use to love walking. But even if no agoraphobia the
wretched arthritis causes such pain just hobbling around my
little bungalow.

Doodle I can’t use a book seat, I have low vision so have to hold the iPad just below my boobs so I can see the screen , a book seat on my ribs , too hot.

I think the majority have low thoughts and emotions, so much
‘Unknown’ to cope with. But it will pass x

Doodle Fri 01-May-20 21:36:42

annie wot about putting a pillow on your lap and then putting the book seat on the pillow. That would lift it up higher. Mine is really adaptable and holds the iPad just at the right angle. I certainly couldn’t hold my iPad for long. My hands are not nearly as bad as yours but I have weak wrists and cannot support it. Sorry just realised you said it would be too hot. When I was researching something to hold my iPad I came across a floor standing bracket sort of thing. Could that help? Sorry you’ve probably thought of all this yourself. I just don’t like the idea of you missing out on the things that give you pleasure because of the problems with your hands.
You are right annie it will pass. We just have to carry on hoping and believing x Sleep well

lavenderzen Fri 01-May-20 21:45:21

Hello everyone. good to see familiar names on here.
Such strange times, I feel I don't know where I am some days and then other days it feels ok.
Sorry Annie about your plans, I know how much you were looking forward to doing things x You will get there x
Salsa sorry to hear you have been poorly, hope you keep improving.
You are right Doodle we have to keep hoping and believing.
Have a peaceful evening everyone. Good night and god bless. Love to all xx

Joce345 Fri 01-May-20 23:13:56

Night all sleep ? well ?

Anniebach Sat 02-May-20 11:13:15

Hi all x

I have a beautiful flowering cherry tree at the front of my
bungalow, love to watch the birds, this year only one bird for
a few seconds.

Been reading Spike Milligan

‘Spring has sprung
The grass is Ritz
I wonder where the birdie is,
The bird is on the wing n
But that’s absurd the wing is on the bird,
Or so I heard’

Sorry x

Joce345 Sat 02-May-20 17:09:19
