Black Dog Gang 6

Doodle I slept ok, you may not remember, when some
bungalows were flooded here in February, in the night there were police cars, a fire engine, council workers in the Cul de
Sac, a drain outside my bedroom window was being cleared, I slept through it all , and my dogs !

Had a surprise yesterday, elder granddaughter and partner drove up from Cardiff with a beautiful house plant for my
birthday, she doesn’t drive so had to come yesterday her
partner had a day off work .

What a lovely surprise. A visit from your granddaughter. She and her partner obviously made an effort to see you and bring you a nice plant too. Is it a flowering one?

A pleasant day ,elder granddaughter went down to a beach sent a video of the waves lapping the rocks, I have a passion for the sea, she said ‘you can’t come to the sea so i am bringing
the sea to you’.

Younger granddaughter drove up yesterday evening with her
gift, she had to work today.

The Pharmacy delivered 140 unmentionables a week yearly !

Doodle yes still cross stitching, so relaxing, the one for
younger granddaughter only needs 4 white daisies to stitch but
I will have to send it to my younger daughter to frame , no idea when this can be done, don’t want to stitch white then wait until it can be poster .

How is the anxiety, depression etc with everyone?

it really is taking some dealing with all this Covid..

Just popped in to say Hi and then I see our special Annie had a birthday. Annie sending virtual birthday hug and many many birthday wishes. ??. Annie your granddaughters love you so much and seem to be very caring girls.
Sorry I have not been on forum for a wee while. Can’t really say why not as I have no excuse apart from the usual family ups and downs. So please except my apologies.

Yes joce I know what you mean. We are ok until something happens that knocks us back. Then we have to work through it and build ourselves up again.

Been thinking ! Anxiety, depression, worries, those of us who have lived with these for many a year are now swamped with -
‘the unknown’ because of the virus.

I don’t like the use of the word ‘normal’ because it has been used when speaking of mental health problems for years,
definition - conforming to a standard, usual, typical,expected.

But little is normal’ now because so much is unknown , we are
swamped with ‘whatiferies’ , this is raising anxiety and depression in many who have never had to battle these.

So we on Black Dog need to realise just how strong we are x

In some ways this virus has brought anxiety and worry to many more people. Those worried about their health or that of their loved ones. Those with financial worries. Those whose mental health has been badly affected by lockdown.

You are right annie we have coped with this before. Doesn’t make it any less painful but we can come through.
