Flutterby the rash seems in areas which are masked, but I
don’t know , I don’t wear a mask because I don’t leave the house. Are they made from different materials ? You have
more than enough stress going on x

Morning everyone, I’m terrified. The GP phoned (after I phoned again) about the pains in my legs. He asked if I had any tender spots so I was feeling all over my legs and I found a tender spot right next to a mole. He asked me to send a photo of it which I’ve just done. He will phone back when he’s looked at it. I’ve already convinced myself that it’s skin cancer and I’m in bits x

Chrissy one mole on one leg , doubt would cause pain in both legs ,x

Flutterby sorry the test results haven’t come through yet and the family issue is ongoing. Hope you get some relief soon.
Not sure about the dry spots on the face do you use some nourishing night cream. You could try Aveeno creams which are oatmeal based. Hope others can help.
Lucyanne my goodness that department is a bit of a mouthful. It could well help some on this thread with HA etc. Good of you to mention it.

Chrissy I have a hard lump on one of my legs which causes no trouble for months on end then suddenly will give me sharp stabbing pains that really hurt. This goes on for a while then stops again. My lump is a cyst under the skin.
DH has lots of trouble with his legs (you would be seriously worried if your legs looked like his) He has veins sticking out all over. Red rashes and dark brown skin all over his calves, eczema sores and swollen ankles. All seems to be ok.
Chrissy the chances of it being skin cancer are very low. If it was it would be treated. You do not need to panic, you will be ok. Try some steady (not deep which can induce panic) breathing. We are here with you.

Flutterbyl hope you hear some new soon, my thoughts are with you...the dry spots!! My daughter is the same we have put it down to the mask, think there’s a lot of people suffering with it because of the masks.

I have had a bad few days, not much better today feel like, I’m very spaced out if that makes sense, not a nice feeling but I’m Plodding on a little bit more...

Thank you for your kind replies. I still haven’t had a call back from the GP. I had a reply from the receptionist to say that they had received my email with the photo. They had passed it on to the doctor and he would be in touch after he’d looked at it but that was at 1145. I just asked hubby if I should call them, he said no, just wait for the call from the GP x

I phoned the surgery again. The doctor has left for the day and he hasn’t left any messages with reception. They say I’ll probably get a call from him tomorrow. x

Joce that spaced out feeling is one I’ve felt before too. You’ve been better before and will be again. Never ever give up hope.
Chrissy you must relax.. If it was urgent the GP would have phoned you. Please try not to let this latest worry cause you grief tonight. It is in the hands of the GP. The GP will sort it. You have done all you need to do. Sleep tonight. If there is anything to worry about you will deal with it but you can’t do anything tonight, I am sure you will be fine.
We are here to give you a virtual hand hold. We are with you.

Doodle - hope you slept better last night- if only we had a sleep mode setting as you said. Sorry your tinnitus keeps you awake. Do you have it constantly? I got it in 1992 just after my Mum died and have had it 24/7 ever since. I am very lucky though it doesn,t interfere with sleep. I expect you are like me and long for just one quiet day in your head.
Nonnie - AFib is really just something you learn to live with. I had a procedure 3yrs ago to help and I take daily meds. Anxiety and AFib don’t mix too well though as the condition is so unpredictable which is a bit nerve wracking. Could be worse though!!! I hope you had a good walk it really is good therapy both physically and mentally.
Chrissie - please don,t be terrified I,m sure the GP would have been in touch if it was urgent. We waste so much precious time worrying and letting our minds go into overdrive.
Annie- hope the sciatica is still keeping a low profile.

Morning all. I finally feel better after about a month of stomach issues and feeling unwell. That's the weird part it also feels like I've got a virus then it all clears. I've had it before so now obviously needs investigating.
Chrissy I know it's hard not to thing of the worst case scenario, I do it every time, for every occasion health wise and non. A learnt behaviour I guess. Hope you'll have some reassurance.

Chrissey even when fears are unlikely to be real, you can't help them. I hope they are unfounded. Don't apologise to us, we are all here to listen to each other and our needs come and go, sometimes we need more support and sometimes we can do more supporting.

joce I get that 'spaced out' feeling too, it can last for days but it does go. Hope yours goes soon.

Haven't had the walk, planning to go today, try to do more than just collect new phone, try to potter. It is good to know that when I have had enough I can call DH and he will come and collect me. Yesterday I simply drooped around the house so determined to push myself today.

I am trying hard not to let all the pandemic uncertainty get to me, up to now I have done really well but now that there is nothing to look forward to, to plan, to organise I am struggling. I need to hug my family.

So many are stressed, so much is unknown.

I had a grim time Tuesday night, spoke to a GP Monday , will
not go into detail, suffice to say not been to loo for over 5 weeks, he gave a prescription , said ‘if you vomit you must contact us immediately. Felt really ill Tuesday night, phoned
surgery, directed to 111, so many questions then ‘a doctor will
phone you within 2 hours, your local hospital isn’t admitting
anyone to A & E ‘.

So 3 in the morning trying to think things through, A & E is
now 20 miles away, means an ambulance, no one to accompany me, agoraphobia, what about my dogs. !

A very helpful doctor phoned at 5.00am, agreed to try to hang on until surgery opened at 8.30 , if not phone back, I hung on.

Lockdowns in several places near to where my granddaughter
lives and she will be back in university very soon, the thought
of those 17 weeks of lockdown when I didn’t see one person
is grim. So stressed .

Annie goodness is it usual for you not to go to the loo for that amount of time? I thought you couldn't leave it that long! And they don't seem unduly worried! Try and solve this problem just now don't think about any possible future lockdowns. Keep us updated x

Scaredycat at the moment my tinnitus is not too bad. There in the background. I find it gets worse if I stress about things or if I spend too long looking at the iPad. I need to read last thing at night. It is there at the moment. Not as bad as yours. Mine is a really high pitch noise. When I get involved in other things I forget about it but sometimes when it’s full on at night it’s deafening. Hope you are ok and don’t have an AFib day today.
Bluesky glad you are feeling a bit better today. DH suffers a lot with his stomach too.
Nonnie I think we all feel this uncertainty about the future. Recently it was my DGS’s birthday. The first one in all his life I haven’t hugged him and it is really hard. Keep plodding on.
Annie I have heard of lockdown in Wales again. I sincerely hope it doesn’t affect you and your DGD. I know how much you rely on her visits. Not surprised you’re stressed. How did you get on with the GP. Hope whatever they prescribed helped. Hope you have a more comfortable day today.

BlueSky I had a prescription earlier but couldn’t unscrew the
top, had to wait nearly 2 weeks, by then that medication was too weak . The doctors were concerned in fairness.

No not usual ! Self inflicted really, can’t exercise because of arthritis, very limited diet, liquid replacement meals and avoiding drinking much water because too much pain to walk
unless desperate. Thank you x

Yes Annie it's a vicious circle unfortunately. I realise how much I rely on DH even for things like unscrewing tops and I've wondered I would manage on my own. Xx

Annie could you ask your GP for a laxative to take on a regular basis? I know you are not supposed to but under your circumstances there's no other way.

Annie my DH regularly takes something called Movicol. It women in sachets that you mix in a small glass of water. He takes it every day and it helps him. Perhaps you could get something like that from your GP. I do hope you are feeling better soon. Do you take pain killers for you arthritis because they could be one cause of your problem.

I have medication now , Laxido, . I will discuss it with a GP when this does it’s work !

I don’t take painkillers, need them but causes problems,
with stomach ulcer, IBS, gastric reflux , and can’t have steroids,

GP’s not doing home visits and no way can I / will I go near the surgery, I cannot see the bridge and it faces the bridge.

BlueSky please don’t think about managing on your own,
I speak from years of experience, you do manage , we are all
stronger than we think x

Nonnie hope you,ve had your walk today and were able to have a mooch . Also hope the new phone was ready and you enjoy using it.I,m trying,like you, to not let the pandemic situation get to me but now it is so hard with the uncertainty etc isn,t it.
Doodle hope you had a better sleep last night. My tinnitus is the same as yours very high pitched but only in my left ear! It is funny isn,t it how we don’t notice it if busy but if you’re tired or stressed we do. No AF today or yesterday - lovely thank you
Annie - so sorry you are having such problems. That is an awful thing to suffer. It is so uncomfortable for you . Glad you now have some meds so fingers crossed. Try not to think about Lockdowns too- they might not happen. Easier said than done I know!!!! Thinking of you.
