Joce345 Fri 18-Sept-20 21:18:08

Good night all, hope everyone has a peaceful nights sleep xx

Anniebach Fri 18-Sept-20 21:40:56

I didn’t know one could find CBT therapists on line, interesting

ChrissyR Fri 18-Sept-20 22:08:44

Goodnight everyone, hope you all sleep well x

Jan16 Sat 19-Sept-20 09:49:15

Doodle. Thanks will probably give it a try - can’t do any harm and might even help!

Jan16 Sat 19-Sept-20 09:51:22

Anniebach Think you can do virtually anything online nowadays!

Nonnie Sat 19-Sept-20 09:59:46

Reading that some remember things to say to the doc afterwards, I think this is common. I now write a list before I go in.

Doodle glad you slept better, makes everything easier to cope with.

BlueSky hope the tests come back with good results. I am trying to pluck up the courage to ask for mine which is due but, as usual, procrastinating.

Good luck with that Jan16

Sun shining again today and DH and I are about to walk to the church for our flu vaccinations. Later I'm meeting DS for lunch at a local bakery where he is going to behave like the adult teaching me, the child, how to use my new phone! grin. I'm trying to think of things to ask him because hey its a phone and I've been using them for a long time grin. Yes, of course he knows more than me but it is about things I don't want or need to know, I don't game or slow mo or whatever but if I want to I'm sure I can work it out. He means well so I will try to be a bit dim.

Have a good weekend all.

Anniebach Sat 19-Sept-20 10:20:34

Hi all x

nonnie the time will come when a grandchild will do the same as your son.
My mini tornado and I have always called each other Bro , now I have a granddaughter, Bro, cleaner, carer, all in one .

Jan me thinks I need to look further on the internet than this forum, word games ,messenger and Tesco .

Someone please tell me what is meant by ‘spaced out’ , I thought it meant - taking something illegal ?

Nonnie Sat 19-Sept-20 10:59:35

Annie hope so, if I live that long! For me 'spaced out' means not being really here, not connecting.

Just come back from our flu vacs and feeling so good about where I live. Everyone we passed did the whole social distancing thing, smiled and said 'good morning'. Same in town the other day, mask wearing and following the guidance/law seems to be endemic here and very different to what we see on the news. Just a bit concerned about the police car at the neighbours, hope they are all OK.

Doodle Sat 19-Sept-20 11:05:03

Annie I supposed spaced out means different things to different people.
DH uses it to mean not that he’s not clear headed, unable to concentrate properly, discombobulated, light headed. You can feel like that if you’ve been very poorly or overtired. Of course it also means what you said too but not in our case ?

BlueSky Sat 19-Sept-20 12:31:37

Hi all. Feeling good inside and out today which is no mean feat! Not even too worried about my blood tests results, if they are out of range will see what they suggest, better find out anyway. Not too keen on possible gastroscopy, hopefully they won't do any at the moment, as the GP said they rather do a CT scan because of Covid, unless of course is really needed.
Can't grumble anyway, got to 70 with just two C sections, I guess that's why I'm fearful of any medical intervention as my cousin, who had and has, various conditions and ops, reminds me. Nice to come here and have a word with friends, all supportive, much more than I am to you. Take care and enjoy the day x brew

BlueSky Sat 19-Sept-20 12:46:07

Yes I often feel spaced out, like jet lagged if you have been an a long haul flight. Again not sure why, possibly fluctuating BP, blood sugar level, low iron? There I go again!

ChrissyR Sat 19-Sept-20 12:56:46

Morning everyone (although it’s actually afternoon). Got a call from the surgery at 1030 asking if we wanted to have flu jabs. Just got back, system was very good in there.
Nonnie I always take notes with me when I see the doctor otherwise I’m guaranteed to forget something. I hope you have a nice time with your DS and you manage to sort your phone out. We’ve just got back from having our flu jabs too, the system they’ve got is very good.
Anniebach I use the term spaced out when I don’t feel like things are real. I suffer with depersonalisation sometimes. I read that it’s your brain’s way of shutting off when everything is overwhelming.
Doodle I’m trying to teach myself to let things go but it’s going to take a long time I think.
BlueSsky So glad that you’re feeling good today. Not being worried about the blood test results is a major thing, hope things stay that way for you. I’ve only had 2 D&Cs and a hysterectomy and that was in 1986, no ops since. How can you say that you’re not supportive to others, that is definitely untrue flowers

Anniebach Sat 19-Sept-20 13:04:25

BlueSky you are supportive x so happy for you having a
Good inside and out day

Joce345 Sat 19-Sept-20 18:18:06

Evening all...
Annie how are you feeling now? Better I hope. Think some time I would feel better with something illegal ?

Bluesky I Think you are supportive.. hope you get some good results..

Chrissy hope you have settled a bit now..

Doodle your description off space out is good. It’s not a nice feeling at all.. glad you had a good nights sleep..

Nonnie had my flu jab this morning as well.. your better than me with the phone I haven’t got a clue?

Hello lavender hope you are doing ok...

Hope everyone’s having a good weekend..

BlueSky Sat 19-Sept-20 20:53:14

Good night all xx brew

lavenderzen Sat 19-Sept-20 21:09:01

Good night everyone.
Hope you are feeling better Annie.
Been a bit of an off day, horrible nightmares last night, about my jaw crumbling with arthritis! Anyway it hasn't but it left me feeling a bit off.
Tomorrow will be better I am sure.
Have a peaceful evening, and a good night's sleep. Take care, stay safe and love to all xx

Puzzled Sat 19-Sept-20 21:17:07

Yes some dreams are weird. The nightmares seem to be the vivid ones that you remember and are glad to wake up, to tell yourself that it wasn't real!
Sadly, the pleasant ones seem to fade quickly!
But always remember what Captain Tom Moore says, "Tomorrow will be a good day"
Every cloud has a silver lining, if you can find it. Search for it
The sun is still shining above the clouds.
marvelous to have so many folks giving support, even if from afar. Shows that you are not forgotten!

ChrissyR Sat 19-Sept-20 21:19:40

lavenderzen Your nightmare sounds scary, hope you have a peaceful night tonight.
Goodnight everyone x

Anniebach Sat 19-Sept-20 21:32:04

lavender such a upsetting dream , hope tonight you will
be peaceful x

I don’t like bedtime, not anxiety but it is the time I think how
alone I am , can’t think back in time and as things are now can’t think forward

Joce345 Sat 19-Sept-20 21:58:44

Annie bless you can’t be nice being on your own, Have you seen your little tornado this weekend?. I don’t like bed time but for me it’s because I don’t look forward to the mornings. I shouldn’t think like that I know.
Should be grateful God has give me another day, I am I just don’t like the mornings.

Doodle Sat 19-Sept-20 22:23:17

Bluesky lovely to hear you are feeling better. You are supportive and it’s nice to hear when one of us is feeling a bit better. It gives us all hope ?
Chrissy Like you, DH and I always take notes with us and write things down. It helps having a record of what was said.
Joce so you’ve had your jab too. Hope your arm is ok. You too Chrissy . Some people have said it hurt more this year.
Lavender like you, I sometimes have a dream that leaves me feeling out of sorts the next day. Even if it didn’t happen I still can’t clear my mind of it. Not nice, hope you have pleasant dreams tonight.
Puzzled that’s a nice thought. Hope you are ok.
It must be hard being alone Annie. Night times in particular.
Hope everyone has a good nights sleep and rest. x

Joce345 Sun 20-Sept-20 09:04:51

Doodle never felt a thing with flu jab, think the worst jab for me is my B12 that really hurts every time ??.

Hope everyone has a good day.

I’m praying like many more we don’t have to stop seeing our families again. I do wish people would just do what they are asked to..sadly they aren’t not round where we live anyway..

ChrissyR Sun 20-Sept-20 09:29:03

Morning everyone.
Annie I can see how hard it must be that you’re alone flowers
Joce I’m exactly the same about not liking bedtimes just because I know that, when I wake up in the morning, my anxiety will be off the scale.
Doodle I didn’t feel the injection at all but my arm started hurting last night and, when I rolled on to it in the night, it was painful. This morning it’s swollen but hopefully will only last for a couple of days.
I hope everyone has a good day x

Anniebach Sun 20-Sept-20 10:11:50

Hi all x

Nonnie Sun 20-Sept-20 10:11:55

Blue Sky such a positive post, good to read. DH has had a couple of gastroscopies, said it is not too bad so don't worry too much about it.

Lavender nightmares are horrible, I sympathise. Last night is the first time for years that I woke after a dream, not a nightmare! I didn't even know I had been thinking about the person I dreamed about, someone I have only met twice.

Annie bedtime sounds awful, we all need something to look forward to or what is the point of it all? Hope your GD comes again soon.

No reaction to the flu vaccination, forgot about it almost straight away. Met Ds & DiL at a local independent cafe and sat outside, they only showed me one thing on the phone because I had sorted it myself. I had an issue with porting my contacts across and told DH how to do it with his and it worked so he did mine too! He has had his phone for about 10 days more than me and still carries two around because he hasn't moved everything yet, now he is getting cross with me, think his pride is damaged grin. He'll get over it!

Not feeling too bad today, looking forward to dinner which is being brought round by DiL to celebrate Jewish New Year. Her GPs were Jewish so she cooks all the traditional celebration meals. No idea what it will be but that makes it fun.

Still praying for you all.
