Morning all....well just!
Nonnie You made me laugh about your DH and his complaining. In my case my DH ‘inspects’ my housework, so I’ve told him he needs to get a job as a supervisor in a hotel, staff would hate him but he would enjoy it. In the meantime he’s welcome to take over the jobs he doesn’t find satisfactory, I’ve already delegated bed making, hoovering and washing up to him!
Having said that I had another anxiety dream: I’m out with DH somewhere I don’t know, he goes away and leaves me there. I try to phone him but I’ve got an old phone that doesn’t work....clear meaning I guess.
Do you wear masks outside? I didn’t think it was necessary but I see a lot of people abroad do. I wish I had one on when coughing man sat by me!
Have a good day everybody x

A late good afternoon to all.
Nonnie- I could just imagine your DH looking into his newly organised pantry!!! Bet he was pleased really?
Hope your ‘exploring’ went well -sounds interesting.
Glad you had a good sleep. I had a not so good night again and with a very early wake up - maybe tonight will be better. We,ve kept busy today so feel really tired now - fingers crossed.
Chrissy - hope you have a good Acupuncture session.
Bluesky- sorry you had another anxiety dream - do you wake with a start feeling horrible? I often have them and they can trigger off AFib for me. Hope you have a peaceful sleep tonight.
No we don’t wear masks outside except the 2 times we have been into town we did.
Have a nice evening everyonexxxx
Evening all.
Annie I hope your MT and her partner are ok. Any news on how your DGS is keeping?
Nonnie must be nice to have a DH that cooks. Mine does toast ?. Not that I’m complaining. He is good in other ways.
Hope you enjoyed your drive out.
Chrissy good you have written a list for the GP. Make sure you discuss that thing in your leg. I am sure it is nothing.
Your another who gets out of cooking.?
Bluesky gracious a cleaning inspector. I’d leave him to it ?
I too often dream about trying to contact DH with a phone that doesn’t work for some reason. I don’t like my dreams. I’d rather not have any.
Scaredycat how have you been today? I hope you have a better night tonight,
lavender hope you are ok too.
Sleep well all.
Evening everyone
A couple of the acupuncture needles made me say Ouch!
BlueSky Sounds like the delegation is going well
We wear masks outside in busier places.
Scaredycat Sorry you didn’t have a good night last night, hope you sleep better tonight.
Doodle The thing on my leg is top of the list to discuss with GP and the photo I sent in the other day will be on my notes so she will see that as well. Sorry to hear about your dreams.
Annie I hope that your MT and her boyfriend are doing ok.
Hi lavenderzen Flutterby Joce Nonnie hope you’re all ok.
Have a nice evening everyone and sleep well x
Good night all x
Hello everyone
Second time, message has disappeared.
Hope everyone has a peaceful evening and a good night's sleep. Take care, stay safe and love to all xx
Chrissy hope your needles didn’t hurt too much. When is your phone call with the GP?
Annie I hope you are ok. I know you will be worried about your MT. Hope things are better soon.
Lavender and Bluesky hope you sleep well too.
Night night all ? ?
Chrissy hope the acupuncture went well.
BlueSky we think alike! Years ago DH complained about my washing up so I delegated. When the dishwasher broke down he looked at me and I simply said it was up to him because I wasn't any good at it. He took over the cooking when I had an accident and I complimented him on how good he was, the rest is history
I do however, do many of the jobs my niece calls 'blue jobs'
Sounds a horrible nightmare to me.
Yes I wear a mask if I'm outside and likely to be near anyone else but not if I'm off for a country walk with plenty of room to avoid others.
Scardycat* hope you slept better last night. I have some better nights and some pretty wakeful ones.
Annie how is MT and her partner? Been praying for them.
Our drive to check a route went very well, DH didn't 'drive' from the passenger seat once! It was through beautiful countryside and I am now confident I can do it easily when I have to.
In this crazy world it is Friday 13th and I have had 2 pieces of good news.
This morning's putting the world to rights session with DH was mainly about how much we have achieved and how wonderful our family, and extended family, are. Glad no one was listening as it would have sounded like boasting but wasn't, it was about how blessed we feel that they are all such lovely people, their achievements are secondary.
Afternoon everyone
Doodle A couple of the acupuncture needles get me every time. It feels like they’re hitting a nerve but apparently it’s fine. Telephone consult with GP next Wednesday the 18th.
Thanks Nonnie. It made me laugh about you and your DH ref delegation of jobs
? Glad that your route planning drive went well. 2 pieces of good news in one day is brilliant. Sounds like a very positive putting the world to rights session.
Hope everyone else is ok.
We made sandwiches and a flask and sat on the seafront, lovely and sunny.
Have a nice afternoon and evening everyone x
Good afternoon.
Annie - I hope you are ok and that MT is improving. It must be awful for them to both feel so poorly.
Nonnie - I love your domestic arrangements - what a good move with the washing up. My husband did cooking for the first time when I was very ill 3 years ago and now quite enjoys it. But he often tells me how to do things I have been doing for ever! I don’t mind though I love having nights off.
Slept a bit better thank you and not such an early wake up. I would love to not have so many dreams.
Glad the drive went well- I get nervous about parking in strange places. Years ago I often used to drive back and forth from Europe by myself - where did that person go??
Chrissy- I only had acupuncture once - on my neck but I found it very painful. You are doing so well . A picnic by the sea- that’s bliss.
Doodle,Lavender,Bluesky,Joce,Flutterby and all enjoy the rest of the day. Take carexx
Evening all x No Annie? Hope you are all right, you must be worried about your DGD and her partner. Thinking of you x
We have started wearing masks when in town, even outside, I notice most people seem to do so now. Makes you feel a little bit safer, won’t wear them when walking in quiet country areas.
Chrissy how lovely picnic on the seafront! I was born and lived in a seaside town till I was 20, then moved to the country side when I married, I like them both.
Scaredycat wow you used to drive back and forth to Europe! I’ve been going to Australia on my own all these years but now I seem to have lost the nerve, if and when I go again I’ll have to ask for assistance!
Have a nice evening everybody x
Nonnie it’s nice you feel comfortable driving that route now. I am another who likes to test drive somewhere new.
We only wear masks outside if we are going anywhere busy. We don’t go shopping so really only out for our daily walks.
Chrissy hope those needles don’t hurt too much. Just relax this weekend and don’t think about the GP. We are here for you. Your picnic at the seafront sounds lovely. I do so love the sea.
Scaredycat glad you had a better night. I wish we had a dream button we could turn off. You were brave driving to Europe on your own. I would never find my way there let alone back again.
Bluesky you were lucky to have a seaside life when young.
You too travelling abroad on your own. Both of you much braver than me.
Annie we are all wondering how you are. Hope things are ok with your DGD. Please take care.
Lavender hope you had a good day.
Evening everyone
Scaredycat Glad you slept better last night. I’m terrible at parking and panic if there’s people about when I’m doing it. Sorry to hear that your acupuncture was painful, luckily I don’t have pain, my limbs just do involuntary jerking movements, really hard to explain. It certainly was lovely down the seafront, sunny and quite warm.
BlueSky I’d never lived by the sea up until 5 years ago. I’d love to live in the countryside in one of those picturesque villages. If. You go to Australia again I’ll put myself forward for the role of your personal assistant
I’ve been once for a month in 96, didn’t want to come home. We always said we would go again maybe for 3 months but DH not able to do long haul anymore.
Thanks Doodle I’ll try my best not to think about talking to the GP.
Annie Hope you’re doing ok.
Hi to everyone else. Enjoy the rest of your evening and sleep well x
Chrissey sandwiches and a flask on the seafront sounds wonderful, so positive.
If you are going to Oz as PA, can I come as bag carrier? Can we then go on to NZ please? I miss planning holidays and events.
Scardycat glad you slept better, makes a big difference. One of the reasons DH doing the cooking works is that I stay well out the way and am very tactful about comments on the meal.
He gets better and better at it and some of the best things are his experiments. Now trying to work on his potion control, he thinks more is better.
BluSky only been to Australia once but had a brilliant time, one of my favourite places now.
Doodle how are you doing? You don't talk about yourself much, which is fine, but how are you feeling generally? How are your family worries?
Annie praying that all is OK, unlike you to not post. xx
Wet, windy and dark here today so planning to Saturday slob! When walking back yesterday I saw two older ladies sitting one each end of a bench eating what looked like fish and chips. I smiled and said what a lovely day it was for doing that and they both responded with big smiles. Such a simple thing but a boost to all our wellbeing.
Yes I’m worried about Annie too. I hope it is internet troubles rather than her DGD that is the problem. Annie if you’re reading but not posting for some reason, we miss you and wish you well. Hope you are ok x
Chrissy you’d like to live in the countryside and I’d like to live by the sea ?. Hope you had a good night last night.
Nonnie thank you for asking. I don’t go into too much detail here because it’s an open forum and my worries are more about my family than me. If it was me I would tell more. Family wise we are ticking over. It’s a very up and down situation no resolution just hope and prayers that things get better.
I so agree about smiles. An unexpected smile from someone boosts the spirits and makes us feel connected to them if only for a fleeting moment.
I have been reading in the paper this morning of people who are doing acts of kindness, They leave bunches of flowers on benches, on busses all sorts of places with a note that says they are for whoever finds them to brighten their day. I thought that was such a lovely idea.
Take care all and have a good day. Keep dry ☔️
Hi everyone .
Bluesky- I have never been toAustralia but I think it’s brave to go there on your own. It does look a wonderful country.
Doodle - I didn,t feel brave at the time because I absolutely loved driving the long journeys. Couldn,t do it now though.
I,m worried about Annie too, let’s hope it is Internet problems stopping her from posting.
Random Acts of kindness are so heartwarming aren,t they. There was a little boy on tele the other day who had suggested paying for the people behind him and his Mum in McDonald’s and that has caught on too.
Chrissy-yes I panic too if people watch me park in fact I don,t like anyone watching me do anything now?
We live in a village with a village green but I would love to live by the sea especially with a sea view.
Nonnie- I miss planning trips too. It was always nice during the Winter to think about the next Summer. Loved to plan Road Trips - my DH loves driving.
Sun out but windy today- lots of people and dogs out walking. Just wish the young people would pay more attention to the rules - they just blithely ignore it all. Just want them to be safe too as well as keep us all safe.
Love to all
Hi everyone
BlueSky So if you go to Australia again, I will be your PA and Nonnie will be the bag carrier
Nonnie Hope you’re enjoying your Saturday slob, I’ve done much the same. Horrible weather here today.
Thanks Doodle. I’m sorry to hear that your family worries are still going on. I hope that there is as good an outcome as possible.
Scaredycat Your village with the green sounds lovely. I’m afraid that we don’t have a sea view. I would love it but properties actually on the seafront are so expensive. I miss planning holidays so much, I hope we’ll be doing it soon.
I too hope that Annie is ok.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone x
Evening all x Ladies if I go to Australia again you are welcome to come along! I had to go on my own as DH can’t do long haul but it was a bittersweet experience every time. As much as I wanted to see my DC and their families, it did hurt leaving DH behind. Perhaps they’ll come over next time but deep down I would miss going! I envied those couples travelling together, it would be so much easier.
Just a quiet walk in the park today despite the rain, not many fair weather walkers about, just a few of the regular dog walkers.
Nonnie like you my DH can’t resist a quick chat with strangers, he tells me it’s manners, I only answer if talked to otherwise just smile.
Scaredycat planning the next trip/holiday/break used to be my hobby. I would plan a couple at a time and book it all up, after spending evenings looking up hotels and flights!
Doodle sorry to hear about your family worries. We worry more about our families than ourselves, don’t we?
Annie thinking of you x
Hope you’ll all have a peaceful night.
Hello I hope you are all keeping as well as you can.
Annie I hope you are well, seems to be some concern you have not posted.
Good Evening to you Lavenderzen as well. Hope you are keeping well.
I have been busy and a bit up and down so have not posted, as I have felt very negative and am just getting over a 3 day headache.
Sorry I have not mentioned everyone by name, but I will catch up with you at some stage.
Hope you all have a good evening.
rafichagran how are you. Sorry you have had a bad headache. Do you suffer from migraines or is it just a bad head? Hope you feel better soon.
Bluesky I have never felt like going to Australia. To afraid of snakes and spiders. It’s a shame your DH can’t go with you.
Do your DC come and visit in this country when they can?
Chrissy thanks for your kind thoughts. Hope you have had a good day.
scaredycat I hate driving. I’m ok going to the local shops and back but I couldn’t face a long journey on my own. You are brave to have travelled so far.
I have PMd Annie I hope all is well. Take care gang.
Hi Doodle, Its not a migraine, just a stress headache I think. Hope you are keeping well.
I hope Annie is ok.
Yes, Doodle it is difficult on an open forum, just wanted you to know you were thought about and I pray for you.
I think it was national kindness day recently but it should be every day. I used to do yarn bombing where we lived previously and that cheered people, doesn't seem to happen here.
BlueSky give it a try, it makes people feel cared about and interesting and you will find you enjoy it, just try it once and see how you feel.
rachichagran sorry you have been having a tough time, hope it improves and the headache doesn't return.
Yesterday I finished the 4ply during my slob and last night started on DK which will grow very quickly. Woke up, after very strange dreams again last night, to pouring rain but now the sky is blue and it is a beautiful day. Must find something useful to do.
I was worried about snakes too but was reassured and can tell you that in all our long travels around (great tour company) we didn't see a single one. We had never done a group tour before, always had private ones but I would definitely do it again with that company.
Morning everyone
BlueSky My DH can’t do long haul either and there is still so many places I would like to visit.
Hi rafichagran, I haven’t ‘met’ you before. I’m sorry that you’ve had some bad headaches.
Thanks Doodle I didn’t do much yesterday, just relaxed. I hope that you’ve heard back from Annie.
Nonne What’s yard bombing? Sounds like you’re racing through the knitting. Sorry that you’re still having the dreams.
Hi to everyone else
I hope that everyone has a good day x
Hi all. I have heard from Annie and as we expected, her DGD has not been well with the virus. I think Annie is a little worn out with it all. She is still reading the thread.
I have sent her our love and best wishes and hope she feels like joining us again soon.
rafichagran hope you are feeling better today. I get stress related symptoms too more high volume tinnitus and ache in my jaw, ears and face. We need to relax ?
Nonnie you are so kind. The fact that you are thinking and praying for us means a lot.
I have never heard of yarn bombing. What’s that ?
Wow you are a super fast knitter. Hope you have a good day today.
Hi Chrissy how are you doing today.?
Good to hear that you are relaxing. That’s the best thing.
Hope all are well and ok.
Be back later x
Hello everyone.
Rafichagran- I hope your headaches ease soon - stress causes so many nasty physical feelings.
Nonnie- I don,t know what yarn bombing is but if it cheers people up it must be good.
I had nasty dreams last night which me woke up at 3.30 and Triggered A Fib. I,m really tired today so it has been a slob day for me.
Chrissy- Hi and hope you are having a good day.
Doodle- so glad you have heard from Annie I think we were all getting worried about her. It’s a lot of strain on her worrying about her DGD. I hope the 2 young people soon start to feel better.
I understand your fear of snakes and spiders in Australia but I think most of them are just as scared of us. We came across a tarantula in Texas once but he didn,t scare me as much as those big ones that dash across the carpet at home.
My tinnitus always gets worse when I am tired - I hope you feel less stressed today.
Take care all and sleep well tonightx
