Does anyone take Psyllium Husks?

I've started taking a daily spoonful of Psyllium Husks for my digestion, but they taste horrible! It's like eating sweepings from the cowshed floor. It says to dissolve in juice or water or mix with food. Drink a full glass of water afterwards.

I've tried mixing with yoghurt (aargh!) and with creamed rice (yuk). You need to add water to the mix or it turns into a foul sticky paste. I wondered about custard or Ready Brek. Not sure I could cope with just water, might throw up before getting to the end.

Any suggestions from those who use it would help (if anyone actually uses it).

You could try Fybogel, which is ispaghula husk, very similar to Psyllium husk. It comes in boxes of sachets, and is orange flavoured usually. Dissolve a sachet in a glass of water, and drink before it starts to swell too much, the flavour is quite pleasant.

I second that ??

Fybogel contains Aspartame which is not good.
