I am an active 75 year old, as in taking the dog short walks everyday and longer ones on a Sunday with hubby. Go to zumba class once a week. Eat a balanced diet, well I try to anyway. Have odd aches and pains but nothing major. We have both been taking supplements for years, as in vitamin D, turmeric, and joint care supplements, amongst others. Am I wasting my time and money

On the advice of my gynaecologist I take Vit D with K2 and a b complex .I,m a near vegetarian who ate a lot of carbs. After a type 2 diabetes diagnosis my fruit intake has been slashed so I,ve added vitamin c to the mix and virtually no carbs.
I,ve got the diabetes under contro in 6 months of diet restriction and exercise .
It’s a lifestyle change though not a quick fix I ,m happy to say the new meal planning isn,t as hard to live with as I feared

I take a multivitamin and extra vit c if unwell. My husband takes nothing. We are both in our 70s and both well. It’s impossible to know whether we need supplements sometimes isn’t it and I’ve heard the theory that’s it’s more about whether our body can absorb them anyway. I’m not sure that all medical practitioners are qualified at all, to give advice and I think advice is definitely needed if separate supplements are taken together as there may be some interaction between them.

Took myself off amitriptyline and a statin a few months ago (with my doctors blessing)
I’ve been taking these supplements for years because my diet is not what it should be 😬
I also either take Actimel shots or Kiefer every day
