Why do some people suffer and not others?
I am a migraine sufferer which is pretty much under control however I will also get a headache with anything else such a cold.
His lordship however, never ever gets so much as flicker, not that I wish him pain it just seems strange.

Same as Juliet - I get the aura , but the headache is separate .
I sometimes get ocular migraines .
I have to take medication quickly or the aura reduces my vision .
I have friends , who miss a week out of every month due to severe migraines with vomiting -so I count myself lucky .

I started with migraines when I was four.
An aura first, then flashing vision, then the most violent headaches, and vomiting just to top it all off.

I would be in bed for two or three days at a time.

They stopped when I was mid teens, then came migraines neuralgia.

I used to rub the skin off my forehead, trying to get some relief.

They went when I was in my late twenties, and then I just got the visual disturbances and a bad headache regularly.

The whole lot stopped when I finished my menopause, and I can't remember the last time I had a bad head.

The word migraine still makes me anxious; I'm worried that saying the word might summon one up, somehow.

I used to get headaches frequently when I was working.

They improved dramatically after the menopause, think they were hormone related, and work was stressful.

Now retired, only very occasionally do I get one (touch wood!)
