Well the meeting this morning at last successfully has produced a statement about the very troublesome events: there are some things to be worked out, (mainly - when MrA comes back and maybe even more important, Safeguarding procedures in place for Adults as well as children so no one has to go through what I did.)
The mediation people were truly great but a lot of this should never have happened (sound familiar, Sweetpeasue and others?)
Can I have a slight preen? I turned out to be very useful techie wise getting it all sorted this morning so they were translated between jpeg, word, PDF's...now already hand signed and done and dusted in the morning by the Restorative Justice people - its done.
I'e been distributing copies to all who need them already to get it off loaded, which includes a bit of a push to Safeguarding re Adult support and procedures: I have also been given by one sympathetic individual a name of someone high up with considerable clout, to try and facilitate this nationally, if its lacking elsewhere.
Well, the rain it rainiest, so Im not thinking there will many reports of walks on beaches or in snowdrop woods unless Ellie Anne is rain free for more snowdrops.

*Welcome to Black Dogs 28*:
Its supporting those of us who wish to talk about our mental health problems quite deeply at times: and share aspects of our lives supportively, give and take support.
All are welcome: don't be put off by some of us being there long term, people do come and go.
Wyllow3 It's something I've learned to live with. Glad I no longer have to go to work now. I did an online triage form at 8am, not heard anything, so just rang the GP - apparently, the GP thinks I need to be seen (for a condition that was diagnosed by a specialist many years ago and that many GPs will never have seen) Frustrating. The afternoon tea and skittles were very nice and made a change. It's good to have a hairdresser you're comfortable with and who does what you want. I found a new one a couple of weeks ago - an Iranian man who was really good.
It's still raining here
Hi all
HVDY- hope you,ve had an enjoyable day despite the discomfort that awful abscess must give you.
I did sleep well thank you. It’s poured all day so I stayed in. Had a good chat with DS on FT then cleared out a couple of cupboards and threw out all the old stuff that had been lurking in them and no good to anybody. DH went to the Gym.
SweetPeaSue- WI was really interesting. We had a talk from a man who was the Queens personal police officer . So nice tales of HM as a person not just a Queen.
Yes it is difficult sometimes to,find the right words but we know each other well and can say anything.
I guess your DH needs to take it a bit slowly- he’s been through so much. It’s wonderful his breathing has improved and become easier and Hopefully each day he,ll feel more benefit from his treatment. Try not to panic it is still so early.
Doodle- we are a pair of old stop outs!! Glad you’re making the most of your days - not easy I know but you are such a fighter.
I,ve been in WI for about 15 years and never made jam in my life😀
Hope you enjoyed Art- what are you doing at the moment?
So nice of you to treat your friend on her birthday- hope it was a good meal.
Wyllow- You were wise to,give that meeting a miss. You must have felt relieved to be able to talk to your worker about the bad emotions that had crept in thanks to MrA and various others. As you say- he has no wriggle room.
Having a swim and blow dry was a nice relaxing couple of hours - ha ha just realised you did it the other way round😀
Nadateturbe- hope you’re not feeling so bad today.
EllieAnne- have you been able to get out for a walk? I haven’t walked since Sunday it’s been such awful weather .
Love to all- hope those we haven’t seen for ages are managing to have some better days.
I did get out for a walk today . Walked on the golf course but the wind was very cold. Then I sat in a cafe for a while reading my book.
Still coughing but not nearly as bad now.
You’ve all been very busy.
Dgd and her mum are off abroad today for a competition. She usually sends me a link to watch it live and I’m a nervous wreck.
I had to cancel my hair appointment when I went to dd so I have one tomorrow. I don’t enjoy it but the colour desperately needs done. I’ve been disguising it with a spray on the roots.
Hvdy I hope you get help soon.
ScaredyCat I love clearing out old "stuff" - my husband likes to keep things, "just in case". He's finally going to get rid of his Mercedes sports car that's been sitting on the drive, going rusty.
EllieAnne It's been bitterly cold here all day. Glad your cough is easing off. What time will you be watching your GD? Hope your hair appointment goes well. What colour do you have your hair?
I hadn't heard anything from the GP (again), so did the online form thing (again). Got a text to say a prescription had been sent to Asda. Went there - it's not in stock and will be there tomorrow evening. Going to have a hot bath, see if that will help. DH asked if I'll be able to get out ok
. I will, if it takes me ages (wouldn't want him to see me naked
). x
EllieAnne Glad you could get out for a walk today. Its poured down all day here and yes, still cold. Good the cough is easing. It makes me feel very small, inadequate and ashamed when I go out with my white roots showing. Silly isnt it , I mean its not as if we can help the going white. You'll feel better when its done. Ive been putting a powder over mine until I get it done.
Wyllow You've done so well to get all those documents out. Id never heard of peg, had to look it up and came across more words I didnt understand and then my brain closed over. I wish I knew more tech stuff , it would have been very helpful when I was going to solicitors.
You have made it much better for future victims of assault if they can be helped nationally to make procedure easier.
'Should never have happened' yes its very familiar Wyllow and extremely damaging to victims.
Scaredycat WI talk sounded fascinating , Id have enjoyed that. Everyone thinks of jam making when the WI word comes up dont they. ( or perhaps the infamous calenders with strategically placed buns!) Its good that your relationship with your friend is so comfortable that finding right words aren't a problem - you are being so strong for her.
Going to post so dont lose it
Evening all
Well done Wyllow sounds as though you’ve got it all sorted. Hope everything goes smoothly from now on and as you say, no one else has to go through the same hassle you’ve had to.
Sweetpeasue how has DH been today? Hope he’s taking it easy and feeling more confident and comfortable.
HVDY sorry you’re still in pain and the meds weren’t in stock. Hope you’ll be able to get your prescription tomorrow
Ellie Anne must be exciting for your DGD. I’m not surprised you’re nervous watching her perform. Hope all goes well and she’s pleased with how she gets on.
Scaredycat your talk sounds very interesting. I sometimes go to the U3a ones and they are good too. Yes thank you, we did have a nice meal. We are lucky to have a big pub/restaurant just the other side of the river opposite where we live. Quite quick to get to and we had a nice meal.
Art today was pastels. Not my favorite medium at all. I get in such a mess and can’t seem to make anything sensible with them.
A very wet day today. Nice to be warm and cosy at home now.
HVDY Just deleted some of my post as realised you'd sent another. So the GP didn't get back grrr and youve still not been able to get that cream -double grrr.
Hope that bath helps - it sounds so painful . You've done well to get out to skittles today. It takes me ages to get out of bath sometimes if my shoulders and arms and legs are all aching. I too would panic if I needed DH to help !
Doodle Hope you enjoyed art today. What are you doing - is it still charcoal?
DH has got some gel paint to try gel painting. I think hesooming for a silicone mat thing to lay a clear plastic thing onto. Sorry Ive not a clue what its all for.
Sure you're all right about being early days with DH. Hes been v tired. Its been a full day ( for me!) today. Id offered to make son 2 a raspberry trifle and take it today for them all. Just out of bed and son 1 called- he has to travel around doing pub inspections- he was 20 mins away and was coming to see us. Quick dash to put make up on , finish custard.
Had a lively hr and half chatting and catching up- nice to see him on his own too. Then drive to son 2s with precarious trifle dish. Another talk and
nice to see DILs mum who was comfortable talking to us. Then picking g up some basics at M&S then home. DH v tired and my brain felt absolutely scrambled. Was so lovely to see son 1 so unexpectedly though.
Hope everyone has been OK.
Love to * Nadateturbe* last but not least!
Take care of yourself and sending a hug.xxx
Crossed posts Doodle Ah it was pastels today - not a huge difference from charcoal are they? Except you must have finished the session more colourful. DH used to use pastels a lot but Ive certainly not been gifted with drawing or painting at all.
So many dark and wet days lately. A warm home is such comfort and never to be taken for granted. Hope you sleep well and you have company tomorrow.x
There little very nice “barber” shops locally and I realised some are for women as well as men and they do a super cut at a great price, HVDY.
I do hope you get that prescription quickly! Much needed.
Well, thank goodness that old rusty car is going…did it take a lot of “reminding” him?
That sounds like a productive potter and sort and tidy day, Scaredycat. Its satisfying after, but I’m glad there was a nice natter in the day too.
Well done for the heave ho to get your hair done, Ellie Anne. Well, anxious times ahead with DGD! But you did well to venture out despite the weather.
If there is a half decent day coming up I’ll try and drop all else just to get an outside walk, my mum was right about “go and get some Fresh Air Darling” tho me as grumpy teenager didnt listen.
Thank you Sweetpeasue I dont use the skills a lot but enough so that if someone sends me a document in the wrong format I can sort it and also send documents out for people in a format they can access.
Thinking of you both on this chilly day and wishing for some sun and some calmer time to heal together.
Yes Doodle I’ve cracked it at last. Until he hand signed the document and I have the copy - al done in 3 hours - I think I didn’t believe it would happen.
I slept most of the afternoon feeling strange but sort of lighter at heart.
I’m totally with you on pastels. A lot of dust, if you ask me. If you have the very bestest most expensive you do get better results but I’ve never liked them either. My favourite ”pick up and draw” are watercolour pencils - you can wet them and it’s like paint - have you had a chance to use them?
Just wrote a post and lost it - annoying. Off to bed early, so "see you" all tomorrow. Love to all x
SweetpeaSue What a lovely surprise to see your son. I completely understand about rushing to get some make-up on, as I'm the same. Your trifle sounds delicious. It's my favourite dessert, ever. Glad your DIL's mum was in the mood to chat. How is she? Hope you and your husband had a good sleep.
Wyllow3 DH's Merc is a lovely car (well, it was, at one time), and yes, I've been nagging him for well over a year to get rid of it. (he cannot be rushed on anything
).
EllieAnne When's your GD's competition? I bet she's nervous but excited.
Nadateturbe How are you today?
ScaredyCat It's still not very nice weather for going out for a walk, is it? Although you perhaps will still go somewhere.
Doodle My dad used to go to art classes after Mum died. He liked using watercolours and oils. I've still got a couple of his pictures. What are you up to today?
It's been raining since last night, so I'm not going out today. DH has gone to get a few things from Asda (he seems to love going there). Hope everyone manages to have a decent day, despite the weather x
In the hairdresser with the colour on. Will be here for ages. Got a book with me and had a cup of tea.
Dgd skates tomorrow sometime. It’s snowing in Copenhagen.
Wyllow I hope that’s the end of it now.
Sweetpeasue what a lovely surprise to have your son pop round. Then chatting to your other son too. I always love having some time with mine to catch up properly. Busy day for you but a nice one imagine.
Wyllow thank goodness it’s signed. Well done on persevering. My pastels were quite expensive but hey were a gift. In the right hands I’m sure they would produce something lovely unfortunately mine aren’t the right hands and I just create dust. I love watercolours best. Yes I have watercolour pencils too and I like them as well.
HVDY I’ve never used oils. I think you have to be quite skilled and they take a while to dry. I had a friend round for coffee this morning then went to the hospice for lunch and to Waitrose to do my big shop. It’s our granddaughters birthday today and I wanted to get her some chocolates. I’m going out with her and all the family for lunch tomorrow which will b nice. Do hope your abscess is not causing too much pain. Is it any easier?
Wow Ellie Anne is your DGD in Copenhagen.? How wonderful. She must be so excited. I hope she does well. Hope the hairdresser visit went well.
Scaredycat I haven’t cleared out a cupboard for a while. Last time I did I was amazed at how much out of date stuff I had on the shelves. I haven’t been buying in the same quantity now so hoping it’s not too bad. My main out of date items are things like tea and decaf things. I buy them in case friends or family want them but then I’m left with them because I don’t drink them myself. Hope you have a good weekend.
Quite pleased with hair. The roots are fixed and I ve got a bit of a fringe for a change to try and soften my face.
Yes dgd is in Copenhagen for a competition. She’s gone up a level so tougher competition.
Had another of those squiggly migraines in Costa today. It didn’t last long.
I’m having a glass of wine and watching soaps but I’m wishing it was time to go to bed with my iPad and whisky.
I hope you all have a peaceful night
Hi all
Wyllow- you have achieved something that will help Quaker people of all ages in the future. You paid a high price in terms of distress but well done - you deserve some happy times now.
We had a ‘ window of opportunity’ to take a walk between showers this afternoon and were rewarded with a lovely rainbow- your Mum was right.
EllieAnne- hope you’re pleased with your hair. I love my hairdresser but hate looking at my reflection while in the chair. Hope your DGD does well in her competition- what a lovely place for them to go. Does she do figure or ice dancing? You must all be so proud of her.
HVDY- Glad you enjoyed the Tea and Skittles.
Did the hot bath help at all- hope you got out all in one piece!!
I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it must feel - such an awkward place to have an abscess.
Yes I love clearing out stuff but my DH is like yours he will always find a reason to keep old rubbish😩
SweetPeaSue- what a nice day to get a surprise visit from your Son. Then a trifle trip to Son2. I love trifle too like HVDY.
His MiL must enjoy seeing you and the trifle will have gone down well I,m sure. I hope she is not in too much discomfort - she has a hard road ahead.
Good old M and S . We did some shopping for my poorly friend there today. It’s lovely food isn’t it.
You must have been tired after all that. Hope you both slept ok.
Doodle- that sounded like a nice day. My GD3 has a lovely big Waitrose near where she lives but we only have a little one.
Happy Birthday to your DGD and hope you have a lovely day
Tomorrow.
I liked using drawing pens to do continuous line drawing .
It was ages since I,d cleared out kitchen cupboards. I had loads of plastic lids with no containers , lots of empty Xmas sweetie tins and other stuff like flour etc that was out of date.
It’s my DD Birthday Sunday so we are all out for a roast .
Love to all- never forgetting all who visit.
Doodle That'll be nice for you to go out with all the family for lunch tomorrow. How old is your granddaughter? This abscess is very painful, and of course, my lymph nodes are painful because of it, and I've been feeling unwell in general. The cream might help, I'll see. The last time I had this problem was in June 2024. I might try to get referred back to the Dermatologist. Hope you have a lovely time tomorrow.
EllieAnne I bet your hair is lovely. Enjoy your whisky.
How's everyone been? x
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good trifle Sweetpeasue. Pop some on the BD trebuchet in my direction, please.
Only a years nagging, HVDY?. No, I do “get” men and their cars and attachments thereof. I love my car as its gets me everywhere whenI cant do public transport, but after I’ve finished with them have not urge to hand on to them, but Mercedes do seem to particularly affect males….
It must have been a difficult day at home with he pain and resulting unwellness from the infection. I’m all for you seeing a dermatologist if it results in any helpful additional treatment or information.
I do hope that DGD does well in Copenhagen, Ellie Anne. Clearly, with going up a level, more challenging. Is the live link sorted out? Your hair does sound rather nice!
I’m so glad you caught a bit of decent weather, Scaredycat. The rainbow was a treat. I’m looking out for a slot tomorrow cos of not walking outside fro 9 days now. Now that *was a good do out of the kitchen.
How have things been today, Sweetpeasue?
Well at 10am MrA rung, trying to soft soap me into saying oh yes come back to our little meeting this Sunday. He really can lay not he charm but it falls on doubtful ears. He really doesnt “get” a lot of it and is trying to avoid doing some of the tasks he promised like telling certain people what has happened.
I said I’ll talk it over with the Safeguarding people who are coming tomorrow morning.
I had a super time at the gym, I did a good work out and had some lovely natters. 🙂
but on the way home I got some panic attacks and thought “no, am not ready for MrA just to walk/ up into the meeting as if nothing had happened. So I will do what my Docsis and worker AND the justice people all suggested, which is to meet with him first with 2 Quakers to discuss it.m(and he completes the tasks).
I’ve painted with various media but watercolour has special qualities that I always loved. I taught myself from a book way back! They did simple landscapes and I discovered the lights of how colours can blend into each other on the page if you handle them just right, also interesting accidents. It’s being able to vary from a light covering on the paper to quite heavy strokes.
Just look at this page of one of my favourite artists to see what I mean

Have. lovely lunch tomorrow.
Night night BD’s
Head here for a laugh.
www.gransnet.com/forums/gardening/1355781-Gnome-people-invading-garden
Thanks for the link Wyllow3.
Enjoyed that.
Can't really post atm.
Wonderful Wyllow ,thanks for that. We laughed out loud.
Be kind to yourself Nadateturbe Thinking of you.
That was funny Wyllow.Thank you🧌
I've just had the two Safeguarding people round.
they were wonderful.
Apologies: they are taking it further so there is a policy: they are engaging with MrA as they agree he cant come back to my meeting until A,B,C enacted
They are well aware he is trying to brush it off and short circuit his guilt and responsibility: he cant came back until I have met with him and them so I can have my say about my feelings properly
They thanked me for being brave and persisting through and agreed I should not have had to do it so alone.
Phew. it was an hour and a, but I fell I've done a days work so am going back to bed with a HWB and the latest Death in Paradise (I've followed the original for years, I'm not so keen on the spin offs)
Well done Wyllow. I enjoyed the gnomes too.
Dgd got a bronze in her competition 🙂⛸️🙂
That's terrific, on her first venture into the higher level! ☺️
I'm having an afternoon au duvet.
I'm afraid it's still gloomy and rain here. It really does affect ones mood. My Doc sis dared to send me a picture of blue sky (admittedly temporary) in Exmoor.
