HVDY That steroid injection is worth asking about- I know its not 100% guaranteed to work but I had 1 in my shoulder some yrs ago and it was brilliant. Oh jam sponge n custard, lovely.

Glad you stuck out for the F2F physio session- whatever next physio by telephone. Some of my LPs were my mum's-- Jim Reeves and Val Doonican . 'Iove you because' (Jim Reeves) was my mum's first record .Shed just bought one of those huge record cabinets . I remember running down the road to meet my dad from work and telling him mum had got it. He didnt seem to pleased.😂

SweetpeaSue I had steroid injections in my heel, for Plantar Fasciitis, years ago, when every other treatment didn't help. My mum liked Queen and Abba as well. Dad enjoyed listening to country and western music.

SweetPeaSue- oh somebody at last who listened,understood and was as nice as she was efficient. Thank goodness. Your DH must have had an overwhelming feeling of relief to be listened to .

What a nice meal at the day centre- I love puddings with custard.
Poor SiL I hope she’s not too scared in a different place.
Doodle- we are just pleased to be able to help our friend. She is very weak and low. Her DH is on end of life care so she has the trauma of this as well as her own illness and the punishing treatment. It’s still raining as well!!!
My eldest GGC will be a teenager in the Summer- her brother has glasses now and he looks so nice in them. He couldn’t believe how much better he can see now! He’s an avid reader .
Wyllow- Hope you’re comfortable now and able to get some sleep. So good to have an en-suite too- all organised I,m sure.

ScaredyCat My SIL wouldn't know if she normally lives there or not, or whether she's been there a day or a month (she's been in a week). I'll go with my brother on Sunday to see her - it's a long walk from the entrance to the ward, which he wouldn't manage, so I'll push him in a wheelchair, as I did last Sunday. It's still raining here, too. A lot of children wear glasses now, and there are some trendy ones around. When Son2's girls were at primary school, they went through a phase of wearing toy specs with no lens in, as they wanted to wear glasses .

Hope everyone has a restful night. LG here for a short time tomorrow morning - DIL has got a job interview. Night all x

Scaredycat My DGS had trouble preading whiteboard and teacher picked up on it. He now has glasses and its no problem. Hes 10.

Scaredycat I can't believe your husbands checkup is on the telephone. Ridiculous. I think it should always be the patients choice. You can't interact properly or tell how someone feels on a telephone. Sad how things have changed. But I hope his checkup is OK.
It's lovely to see your family so much but as you say the young ones can be a bit exhausting.
I didn't realise you suffered a lot from tiredness. I've missed that somehow. Is it connected to the AF?. Yes, sometimes we "miss the old me", unfortunately. And have to try to be thankful for the good times. Not always easy.
It's great your GGS (can't believe you've a 12 year old GGS!) loves reading. A lot of children don't know what they're missing. One of my GS asked for a Waterstones voucher for Christmas.
Ah, your poor dear friend. What a very sad situation for her and her dear husband. Just dreadful. I'm sure you're glad to be there for her, even if it tires you.

Sweetpeasue funny enough I remember when my dad bought a stereo radiogram. My mum wasn’t too pleased either.
HVdY I’m not on painkillers. I can manage but I’m not walking properly I’m limping and shuffling along. My hip is painful at tonight but only when I turn over. I’m hoping the physio helps.

Doodle It's good that your pain isn't bad enough for you to need painkillers. Do you need a new mattress, do you think? The physio exercises should help. I've never punched anyone in a wheelchair , but I walk better if I'm pushing something. My SIL will go back to the home, perhaps mid-week.

Had LG, took her to a softplay place. She went on the equipment and slides meant for over 4 years, but loved it. DH went in there with her. DIL said the job she went for wouldn't be suitable, so she's still looking for something. I did aqua aerobics, then spent an hour on the 'phone with a friend.

Hello Sweetpeasue thank you for thinking of me, I hopeyour DH has recovered from the angina attack. Such a worry for you both. . I haven't forgotten you, or Doodle 😊 I've been trying to say hello to everyone. I started a post today, But it takes me so long. I feel so stupid sometimes.

I wasn’t able to get messages to my inbox so I contacted gransnet and it turned out it was because there is a space in my username. It used to be allowed but now it isn’t. They have taken the space out and the problem is solved. Worth knowing.

HVDY The angina spray helps to dilate the arteries which certainly helps. We have been told if 2 sprays don't help then ring 999 as could be heart attack. After first spray today he wasnt helped enough but drove home and took second spray at home and returned to comfortable condition.

Scaredy Cat, these check up on the phone are a joke, they wanted my friend to have her Asthma check up on the phone.
Another very dark day yesterday, I get so low I can’t cope. Everything seems bigger and nastier. I have worried myself sick for years about moving as my son wants me to, if I had my time again i would just have stayed out and made my house more comfortable, at the moment I have a neighbour from hell. The thought of solicitors and people walking round my home and possibly a sale not going through fills me with panic.
It wouldn't have bothered me years ago but now it does,

Allsorts This cold dark weather doesnt help does it, especially if you're feeling so low and your stuck with poor neighbours. We wished we'd moved yrs ago but like HVDY just dont feel we could face it now. Is it your son would like you to live nearer to him? I can understand you not wanting to face moving - I hope you have some friends where you live though as that would make a difference. Might be an idea to weigh up all the pros and cons if you're really not happy where you are. Im sorry you're feeling so low - everything feels like an impossible fete when you are at your worst. Do come in whenever you feel bad- we mightnt be able to do much about your situation but sometimes it helps to know someone cares. Warm hug coming your way.x

The physical treatment is good. The isolation room (I don’t need it, bit it was free) is a mixed blessing, its totally quiet, but sort of hermetically sealed, lonely as I dont have visitors. But the nurses are mostly lovely with time for quick natter. A couple more than others, when you take an interest.

But….It been a real nightmare - for one reason only : my MH meds at night. Which are complex, and my style of taking them, agreed with my psychiatrist for so very very long.

doesnt work for them.

Basically I have 3 doses of meds a day and take them around the same time but then it suits best.

But if I am having a very bad night and have gone early to bed then I frequently take the morning meds in the night to give me much needed sleep.
So’s to get better in the day.

I broke down in to he end last night after 2 nights arguing during the night and told all of recent events and why I feel suididal in the night and need that extra bit of sleep.but still had to wait a long time/and talked to nurses today to talk to a doctor to get some leeway tonight

Should see one.

(Last night nurse was lovely, I said you’ve got MH in the family have you (the vital test is when you say you have had some suicidal thoughts That they dont flinch - but take as normal (which is is in MH circiles after all to kist talk about it no fear involved)

No Doodle no family friends nearby my sis is coming Thursday to see when new nephew good timing for me but no one to get stuff for me in hospital or visit.

Allsorts I feel full of sympathy for your house concerns. Honestly, I would find it is hard to find all those folks tripping round. Then that gap “will it or wont it” You are certainly not alone there. I do have a cleaner who will make things hunky dory for visitors, but my plan does save the “waiting gap” anxiety”
Because I planned a bit ago (then put off) my ultimate plan of ….McCarthy and Stone flats, they do it all for you - the sale, the moving, the flat purchase/ your house sale.

SweetPeaSue- I think a lot of youngsters will end up with glasses in the future as they spend so much time looking at screens. I love how GGS looks in them though- he’s quite serious anyway.
You are doing well with your clear out- is your DH like mine and will say something may come in handy when it hasn’t been used in 20 years!!!
So sorry he had another angina attack while out- it must be very unnerving. Glad the spray did its work well though.
Nadateturbe- yes those telephone check ups are ridiculous. One year the follow up letter said he was seen!!
As the AF is 24/7 it does indeed make me very tired as my heart is having to work too hard. But it’s better than living in fear of an attack like when it was paroxysmal.
We are both very sad for our friends but helping as much as we can- they have some very good friends thank goodness.
Never ever say you feel stupid you cope with everything thrown at you and are an example to us all.
Doodle- it’s such a pain- literally- to have that troublesome hip.

It must be horrible having a difficult neighbour. Is there any chance you could do as Wyllow plans and move to a retirement flat and they do all the moving stuff? Moving in later life is a huge undertaking and would feel daunting for anyone. It’s upsetting isn’t it when fears and worries grow out of proportion when years ago we would have just dealt with things. Please come in here and talk - there’s always someone to listen and share a problem with.

Your meds routine sounds perfectly straightforward and sensible. I suppose they have to stick to rules but a doctor should see the sense in how you work and could act accordingly. No wonder you had a bit of a melt down.
I,m glad you,ll see your Sis- she must have been worried about you. Any chance of your nice Quaker friend or lovely cleaner being able to bring you stuff?
