Why is it you can't seem to get a washing machine these days that does a 50° wash. What they used to call hand hot.

I did my washing at this temperature for years but now it either has to be 40° or 60°.

It's just not good enough. #world'sgonetopot

I have had a new washing machine every year for the past 3 years. I took out insurance on one, rang the company when I had a problem to be informed..." there was no one near to mend it so we shall send a new one". For the past 3 years I have had a slight problem, so they send me another. I can recommend one or two which you may like smile

Do you really know some that have a 50 wash?

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 14:22:33

I can't find the degree symbol on my pc, and my Fire has gone flat.

Lona Wed 16-Oct-13 14:25:11

My AEG has 50 degree washes on it.

Gorki Wed 16-Oct-13 14:29:22

This IS a set-up!grin. I don't believe you can be so interested in washing !

Anne58 Wed 16-Oct-13 14:32:31

Gorki I know that we are all very intelligent women with an eye on world politics, current affairs and the state of the nation, but I suspect that most of us still have to do the washing! grin

Gorki Wed 16-Oct-13 14:41:37

The more's the pity. At least the modern generation of young husbands now share the workload or so I am told envy

Mr P often cooks, is the best oven cleaner in the world, will clean the bathroom & kitchen etc, but I just don't trust him with the washing!

Riverwalk Wed 16-Oct-13 14:50:19

Phoenix do you hire Mr P out? ...... for oven cleaning that is!

Aka Wed 16-Oct-13 14:52:55

For heavens sake, someone say something cutting, controversial or pithy.
This is all too wishy-washy.

Aka Wed 16-Oct-13 14:54:15

It's the weather. A reminder that winter is nigh. We're nesting....hmm

Gorki Wed 16-Oct-13 16:05:57

j08 Well, if you can't beat them, join them so I shall add a question of my own.
Does anyone own a rotary clothes line that actually rotates and if so what is the secret?

Stansgran Wed 16-Oct-13 16:06:08

Even on something as unifying as the daily grind someone has to be grumpy.

positivepam Wed 16-Oct-13 16:22:57

Sorry jO8 my Zanussi does a 50 deg wash, gosh we must be bored! grin

Oldgreymare Wed 16-Oct-13 16:23:04

Gorki.... wind!

Elegran Wed 16-Oct-13 16:35:36

I wish you could stop it rotating while you are pegging things up. Mine spins so easily it swings round in the least breeze and clouts me on the head. It needs a braking system.
