following on from the thread about what small thing would make things better, what have you got recently which you couldn't now live without?
. . . my reach and grab stick, it helps me dust, grab my glasses, feed the dog, open the window, just a fantastic piece of kit for only a few pounds. 
I don't think people are 'getting' it rubylady. The thread title will just produce a list of things people can't do without, like family, grandchildren etc, instead of things they've recently acquired that they can't now do without. 
Yes, I meant things like an electric can opener or an fan to cool down night sweats. The one thing that you have bought and think that it really is worth it's weight because it is needed in your life?
Obviously we all only need air and food and water to stay alive, that wasn't what I was getting at. It was just a light thread as a bit of fun.

I would hate to be without my Babyliss Big Hair hairdryer and rotating brush thingy or the straighteners I got with my Tesco points. For the first time in years I can get my hair to sit the way I want it. Three cheers for technology! 
I would also feel like my right arm had been chopped off without my tablet.

I can't think of a thing. I did buy an electric tin opener a week ago but I have yet to work out how the bloody thing functions. 
I think I might try Aragon oil shampoo just to see what all the fuss is about!
