Sweet smelling washing

Has anyone got any recommendations for washing powders/liquids/conditioners/scent pearls etc to make the washing smell good for longer? I have tried most things, I think, and just wondered what other gransnetters recommend from experience.

Not sure what mine will smell like when I bring it in today. I put it out this morning and came home to find they had been muck spreading on the fields adjacent to our house and the whole area smells like a midden!

Detergents are not good for the skin.

I looked on line for alternatives and found something called Soap Nuts. Very interesting. I have yet to invest but will when the time is right.

I put nice smelling soaps in my clothes drawers and wardrobe. And when my perfume bottle runs out I just put the empty bottle in clothes drawers and wardrobe too.
