Oh dear I've been deleted. Anyone remember what I said?
Luckily, I kept the text. So, edited version:
It would be a valuable thing is people, instead of just believing the experts who are connected to big Oil and Gas which doesn’t want to see things change, had a good grounding in science that would let them make good value judgements.
We need a balanced energy strategy. Renewables is part of that, so yes, we need to have a sustainable renewables strategy.
It’s worth just bearing in mind, even on overcast UK days, PV cells still work at 50% of their capacity. In urban areas, the albedo effect due to surrounding buildings can maintain that well above 50%. Although turbines have environmental impacts that need to be assessed, that is minimal compared with the impacts of the fossil fuels industry.
Trust me, I'm a doctor.
