Ordering on line

I go to shops usually for what I need but due to circumstances I have had to resort to ordering some big items on line . What a nightmare, after this one I'm waiting in for with a tracking service that doesn't work it will be my last. It's too much stress, a parcel thrown over gate, despite me being at home.

Online is my only option now.
Not that I was ever interested in shopping for it's own sake, but I did used to enjoy a potter around the charity shops and a coffee out.

If the curtains were really creased Ladyleftfieldlover tell me how you managed to uncrease them. I’ve never had much luck.

They weren’t creased at all!

I don't order a lot online, but most orders have been successful. Recently I had one item that didn't work (a lampshade with a strange fitting) that arrived fine, but sending back was a bit of an ordeal. And one clothing package that never arrived at all. The company was wonderful once I actually talked to a person instead of a computer. My money was refunded and I was given a bonus coupon for my next order.

I have a little notebook where I keep track of any on line purchases so I can follow up on them.

You cant always get what you want online because so many things are "the latest look".

I wanted a new case for my PC so I looked on Amazon and the cases for the price I wanted to pay were all for "gaming". They were in bright snazzy colours and patterns which would not show up as the case is under the desk. And I thought they looked cheap and tinny. I like computer cases in neutral colours like black and grey.

My nephew announced that he had two old spare cases. Nothing wrong with them except they need a bit of a clean. They were both black and looked more like my idea of a computer case so Im having one of those. Nothing like a bit of up-cycling.

So thats one more Amazon package I dont have to wait for.

I have had to buy a broom, which has grieved me, because I get mine from poundland ordinarily.
So, I thought, if I'm not paying a pound, I may as well go for a decent broom.

I researched for ages, checked out reviews, and bought one on amazon.
£11, but it really sweeps up well!!!
I wish I'd tried one years ago.

biglouis you should have gone on ebay. I googled black computer bags and they came up with hundreds in all sizes and shapes and prices.

Come to that so did Amazon when I put the same three words in. I suspect you didn't put the colour of bag you were looking for in your search.

You have obviously done much better by up-cycling, but Amazon did actually have the products you wanted.

@M0nica when I say a "computer case" I dont mean a bag to keep it in but the metal box which houses (one of) my desk tops! My nephew, who built both of my PCs calls, them computer cases. The computer also needs a new power supply so he is going to more or less rebuild it.

I have several bags for my laptops including a leopard one!

Most of the metal cases now are built for gamers and come in snazzy designs but I find them a bit trashy looking. I want something simple, classic and pereferably black.

Started ordering on line during lock down. Since then have continued to a great extent simply because finding items has been difficult. Shops like Debenhams have gone and even John Lewis often say things are available on line. We have Amazon Prime and so many things are available with quick delivery times. Also I read reviews which can be helpful. We have also ordered Argos and collected from Sainsburys; curtains from Next had to be picked up from shop after ordering as none available in store etc.

Our online experience is very good, we order almost everything for delivery now, less wasted time in shops.

Shopping in shops is tedious at best.
