Coat hangers, where do you keep yours? They are my bugbear! I keep mine in a cupboard under the stairs, but they always seem to tangle up, when I'm trying to get one out Ahhhhhh!
Any solutions?

I only have plastic or wood coat hangers with a few material padded ones, no wire ones.
They live at one side of the wardrobe.

Can I politely ask people not to give them to charity shops. We are all inundated with them, plus, we have to pay for our rubbish to be taken away.

Oh, I thought they'd be useful.

I haven't seen a wire one for years!

You get your dry cleaning back on wire hangers.

So that may explain it if you don’t have stuff dry cleaned.grin

I got rid of all the old wire ones. Now any spare plastic ones live in a box on top of the wardrobe in the spare bedroom.

Schools might be interested in skirt/trouser grip hangers to hold artwork whilst it dries….that is if they still do any painting in schools.

No wire ones! (These can be recycled at the tip.) All others are hung in wardrobes. Any unwanted ones are offered on local Freegle group website.

I think they reproduce at the back of the wardrobe, especially the wire ones!

in the wardrobe but I swear they breed in the night! they tangle themselves all around each other it's a nightmare.
btw do you remember at bazaars and fetes coat hangers with knitted or quilted covers were a great fundraiser?

Or just sensible and don’t buy anything that needs dry cleaning maybe?😁

Or don't wear wool coats much.

Although I am going to examine them carefully for mucky marks 😲

Even nice wooden ones, meryl? Just asking as had a clear out and I too like the velvet ones. clothes don't slip off them even in my one crowded wardrobe. and have decent wooden ones to give away, and I know some people prefer them.

Buy a garment, get two coathangers free?

My spare coat hangers are in a supermarket shopping bag in the a ttic.

There are ten or so plastic ones in the wash-kitchen for drying clothes on, and another couple in the ironing basket.

The rest are hanging up with clothes on them.

I hook spare ones over the clothes horse
