The rolls are smaller, but evidently Sainsburys led the way with this particular economy - they made the cardboard roller slightly smaller, and then more rolls could be fitted onto a lorry, which saved fuel. I don't know if they also reduced the number of sheets, but it seemed a good, green idea. I do recall peach, green, blue, and pink paper, and a friend had a 'Sun King' bathroom suite fitted. A horrible tan colour. Another friend had a chocolate brown suite with gold taps; every time it was used the bath and basin looked scummy and awful, and had to be cleaned. How we were - so amusing to look back.
