Long ago I discovered that if I put away a kitchen gadget, it hardly got used. Never seemed worth the bother of getting it out, setting up, etc. When I had my kitchen completely re-done a couple of years ago, my design actually included those things I would need to keep available on the worktop. It is only a small kitchen but works well, and still gives me space to roll out pastry, or prepare and serve meals.
All items on my worktop are in black and add to the kitchen decor.
No kettle (have a boiling water tap)
so......in one corner underneath corner wall cupboard I have
egg boiler
chocolate drink maker
slow cooker
(in corner) toaster, with butter dish in front of it
mini chopper
soup maker
bread bin
With these in place round a corner area still allows large area of worktop free for serving food, rolling pastry, etc.
In small area between fridge/freezer and hob I have
electric can opener and spoon rest
other side of kitchen close to pull out cupboard where I keep all items related to baking cakes, etc. I have
Mug tree
Food mixer
scales
Air fryer (this is next to double oven, so all that sort of cooking in one area.
