After moving back from France in Feb. we've got another bill to pay from France, taxes foncieres which is like council tax. But we've closed our french bank account.
Any brilliant ideas about how to do it? I've been puzzling over it all day. Don't want to incur big bank charges here (Lloyds).

Hooray I've done it!
I tried on Sunday, but seems they can't set up an international payee on a Sunday. So tried again today.
It's rather complicated though, lots of long numbers.
Thanks to all.

Revolut card is great for stuff like this. It is a pre-paid card, easy to top up and can convert to any currency at bank rate.
