Keep hearing about this and am due to receive State Pension in June and need more information as with rising energy costs etc etc, think i will have to keep working. I do not have a great works pension as only started paying in few years ago as working part time hours, due to ill health, am soo worried about finances.

MeryStreep, thank you have read above link but i'm trying to see if i keep on working past June, will i still receive the working tax credit disability element along with my State Pension and can't find this anywhere. Have checked Gov.uk and cannot see this mentioned...any advice is appreciated!

Speak to your local Age UK or visit Citizen's Advice. They will have advisors who can help you work out what benefits you could be entitled to. Do not forget if your income is low you will also be entitled to Council Tax benefit and, if you rent, Housing Benefit.

If you are entitled to a disability benefit, this can lead to enhanced rates for Pension credit etc.

Here is a link to the Age UK benefit check form. It may be helpful //www.ageuk.org.uk/information-advice/money-legal/benefits-entitlements/benefits-calculator/

If you are in receipt of the full state pension, then you will not be eligible for Pension Credit. That tops up money for people just short of that amount.

As you say you also have a private pension AND are likely to continue to work, it almost definite you will not be eligible.

Does that depend on which pension, the old or the new? There is a £40 difference between them depending on whether retirement was before or after 2016.

But there are other benefits as well as Pension Credit, and the OP is also getting a disability benefit.

The best thing to do is see what the Age UK calculator comes up with and then talk to a fully qualified advisor at CA or Age UK.
