Glasgow Meet Up

At the moment, I'm thinking of late August for a Glasgow meet up. How does that suit people? And are there preferred days/dates, or ones to avoid?

I am on holiday from the 23rd to the 2nd Sept.

But if push came to shove as we are going up to the house, I could probably talk DH into doing without me for a day

I'm interested as I've never been to Glasgow (hear it's fab!!) and hopefully would be able to fit in with end of August.

Kelvingrove museum would make a good venue. Lots to do for the energetic and a pleasant cafe for those who prefer to sit around and blether!

On another thread, a badge of some sort was mentioned so that we were recognisable to each other. For the Glasgow meet I shall wear red jen-yoo-ine Basque beret so that I can be spotted at whichever station we decide to meet at – that is, if most people will be arriving by train. Bit of an assumption there. I shall be, and had assumed most of the E Scotland grans would be too. Bit there are a few from elsewhere.

Bags no train service from here to Glasgow. I would have to travel by bus. I may wear my gold lame cat-suit, feather boa, stiletto heels, and plate-size hoop earrings. No point in making a spectacle of myself!

Bags where would I board the train on which you'll travel?

Oban, Dalmally, or Crianlarich. Don't know which would be easiest for you.

I would love to go but I have those two weddings to go to and the required hen nights plus the Beatles Festival at the end of August so I will have to pass on this one

Possibly Crianlarich. As the bus is free, makes sense to use it. More pocket money for treats when we meet.
