Feeling very envious that Scottish Grannies have got themselves organised.
Are there any grannies within striking distance of a Midlands centre who would like to do the same? I am in Milton Keynes but trains to Brum are frequent and fast. Any takers?

I`ll be easily recognized without a label anyway, just look for a short, fat person in a green coat. Oh, I`ll be carrying a pink bag.

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 17:35:14

My bag is pink too. I'm large and fat.

JessM Fri 05-Oct-12 17:50:59

Look for a Dame Edna lookalike. Minus the Gladstone!grin

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 18:37:43

Actually, my mothers name was Edna?

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 18:38:14

Gladstone? Gladioli!

crimson Fri 05-Oct-12 19:03:22

Nice chap at the ticket kiosk tells me there are no restrictions on my ticket cos it's a Saturday..can leave as late as I like! He did warn that New Street is in a mess at the moment, and this is coming from someone whose own station has a short stay car park that has been temporarily moved about 6 streets away. I just don't get out much these days; this is such an adventure!

Oldgreymare Fri 05-Oct-12 19:23:17

Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp.
Just Googled Birmingham Museumand Art gallery only to find it has 4 entrances. That'll confuse me!
Also tried to get a map for walking from the station (New Street) and it said some roads were partially restricted! Now where's the GNer with a broomstick when we need her?
May hang about in Bristol and get the same train as Jeni and Co. may be able to hitch a lift on her chariot does it have a skateboard attachment I wonder? grin

Marelli Fri 05-Oct-12 19:29:01

Oh, I do so wish I could be there too! Have a lovely time, all of you. You all sound so excited! smile

jeni Fri 05-Oct-12 19:35:09

If you bring a LNG rope with you . You can put it round my waist and I'll tow you!grin
