Edinburgh theatre visit in December

Yes Maggiemay51 the ballet is at the Festival Theatre starting at 2pm. Our train gets in at 11.54 from Thornton to Edinburgh. If you could meet us off this train we'll could all look for an Inn together

What hostelries are there between the station and the Festival Theatre?
There is always the staion buffet if we are stuck - Brief Encounter anyone?

My train gets into Waverly just before 1pm so I'll see you all at the theatre. Looking forward to it immensely.

Gosh! Aren't you all organised? I don't know what time I'll be arriving at Waverley. It partly depends on whether I do a station hop in Glasgow so as to get an express train for the part of the journey between Glasgow and Edinburgh. If yous decide where you'll be having coffee, pls let me know and I'll bumble along there when I arrive. elizabeth1, I'll PM you my mobile number.

Hope all can get this update as I think it might be the last posting before we all meet tomorrow. For those who are able and willing what about catching up with everyone at WH Smiths on the main fairway at Wavery Station for 12.15. Then off for a pairty. then the ballet, followed by our evening meal.

Yes, a smashing time. The nutcracker was really good, some beautiful sets and the dancing of course was excellent.

Delicious food at Vittorio's on G4 Bridge and much talk. I shall try to post photos on my profile after I post this.

Certain people had time to spare before their train left, so decided to take a taxi to the Dome for a drink. Baubles and I said we would walk and meet them there. Arrived at the Dome - packed out, but no GNers. A voicemail said they had gone to try Tiger/Lily - at the other end of George street. Walked the length of George Street to find them returning - Tiger Lily packed out too. All walked back to station (burning off the calories from Vittorio's).

I don't know whether the Station Buffet was also packed out - I left them for a number 12 bus and a sit-down.

Glad I wore flatties and not stilletos.
