Is anyone interested in meeting for lunch in Market Harborough on Tuesday 27th October?

granjura Fri 18-Sept-15 17:58:58

I'll be there smile

Bump

Teetime Sat 19-Sept-15 13:24:29

Yes I can do that too. Just pm'd you kitty before I saw this so ignore me well some of it.

Tegan Sat 19-Sept-15 13:56:26

May be looking after the grandchildren thatday but, if not, I'll be there [err where's Market Harborough though...?]

kittylester Sat 19-Sept-15 14:39:48

About 10 (?) miles south of Leicester Tegan on the A6. I pm'd you back Teetime before I saw that you had seen this!! Good you can do that date. You can probably ignore most of my pm too! grin

Hopefully someone GJ (?) can come up with a venue?

I'm in Bedford but if you do a future meet up on a Thursday or Friday I could get there, depending on how far out of town the station is!

Zizzi's is favourite and in the main street bear white Stuff and Joules! not that I like shopping for clothes!! HUGE car park next to Sainsbury and Waitrose but also has a main line station. there is of course the lovely pub on the canal by Foxton Locks.

Zizzi's or Wild Wood would both be great- both right in town centre. Wild Wood is opposite the Old Grammar School half-timbered building and St Dyonisus Church- both are 2 mins walk from our flat.

Foxton Locks too- but of course not easy to reach for those coming on public transport.

I'm happy with zizzi's as chains have generally sorted their gf offerings but I can find something on most menus.

There's also Widtow which used to be good for lunch but I haven't been for ages.

Perhaps best to stay in the town centre then and combine a bit of lunch with retail therapy and easy parking! smile

Tegan Sat 19-Sept-15 20:37:29

If I can come I'l be on the train; sounds quite straight forward from Derby.

Alea Sat 19-Sept-15 21:00:44

So coffee at yours then, granjura?

grrrranny Sat 19-Sept-15 21:07:42

No it can't be coffee at granjura's because she doesn't know if we are all trustworthy. I'm sure it was only a joke anyway.

granjura Sat 19-Sept-15 21:54:51

You'd be very welcome, but it is very small ;) a bit easier to meet at Costa's or Café Néro very close smile

I can make it, too.

Great is that 6 of us so far?

granjura Tue 22-Sept-15 16:25:03

Anymore?

Alea, B&B here on the other hand is available at GN rates ;)

Alea Tue 22-Sept-15 17:44:36

I'm only an hour away, thank you granjura but I'm afraid DH has a Royal Free appointment on the day agreed so I can't be there.

granjura Tue 22-Sept-15 17:54:40

A pity, would have been nice to meet 'face to face' ;) - good luck with the appointment.

granjura Thu 24-Sept-15 19:26:51

Any more? Bumpety bump.

grrrranny Thu 24-Sept-15 20:26:16

I hope I can come as I haven't managed to meet anyone yet. I won't know for sure until about a week before but if I am able to come I go almost past train station so could collect anyone who needs lift into town.

granjura Thu 24-Sept-15 20:58:25

Great, plenty of time to organise exact time and venue- but shall we provisionally say Zizzi's at 11.30? What do you think?

granjura Thu 24-Sept-15 20:59:12

Where will you be coming from grrrrranny (no need for exact location- just vague)

grrrranny Thu 24-Sept-15 21:12:40

I've put Zizzi's 11.30 in my diary and the only reason I wouldn't make it is if I am called in to work at the last minute which happens now and then. I'll be coming from Kettering area so a loop round Corby takes me along near the train station so nearer the time I could arrange to swoop down and get anyone from there. A note of warning for everyone - I find Market Harborough can be a touch on the draughty side so wear a vest. And I can never resist that hardware shop that is packed to the rafters with all kinds of stuff and usually buy a bucket and some wooden pegs. Last of the big spenders.
