OK, Marmight I have added a red blob where you live, which it has called "Point 8" Can you see it?

It is not a flag, it is a red blob, more or less teardrop shaped. beside it is a hand for moving the mao about.
After you have set your blob onto the map and labelled it, you are added to the list at the left. If you hover over your entry there, a paintpot symbol appears beside it, Selecting that brings up a whole lot of other icons to choose from.

Well, I must be very stupid too. I can't even find a red flag to click on nor can I find a list of emoticons to use [dim]

This is odd, because apparently to start with a Google password wasn't necessary. I don't see any difference anywhere with this new map, it must be something invisible.

If you already have a Google password, they will send you a reminder. If you don't have one at all, maybe you could get a Google account - if you have a free gmail email A/C you can get into all things Google.

I`ve typed the link in, but can`t remember my google password, so can`t get any further.

OK I have my lable on the map but it is not showing on the list in the little panel one the left. Too late tonight for new technology.

Got all the instructions so will do in mor ing - too knackered tonight.

I must be very stupid, can`t get past Google wanting my password, can`t remember it! Plus it took me ages to write all of that link down, because it was obscured on the pm when I started typing it out. You must all be very clever!

Oh no! I have made myself a dentist! Very apt, it must have been psychological, I have toothache.

I suspect it is a tooth. Janeainsworth should have had that one. It is in the set of business icons, and there is a medical bag in there too. Says something about medical priorities in the land of Google.

Done! Not sure if I am a butterfly or an angel. Either will do.

Knew I should have read to the end - I just tried to see if I could get myself on the map just by twiddling about. I managed it - and now it doesn't exist!

Brain hurting now, I think I'll leave GN and go and do something else.
