I'm coming over to Edinburgh for a family celebration on 8th March. Any meet up arranged there around then? I'm a bit isolated over here in the wilds of County Down. Just asking.

I expect something can be arranged, jud. It'd be good to meet you.

I can get to Edinburgh on the 9th or 10th Jud

Marelli Wed 18-Jan-17 11:02:07

I can manage around that time, too. Jud. smile

Bump.

I could manage the 9th. - always enjoy a meet-up with the Edinburgh Grans.

Oh it would be great to meet those of you who have replied. Our event is actually in South Queensferry, but I'm sure it would be easy enough to get in to Edinburgh. I don't know the city at all so would need to be guided by you as far as venue.

The 9th would be really good for me.

Thanks for the bump thatbags.

Sorry I'll be away on holiday from 1st - 21st March. sunshine

Bump

I'll likely be around then - and meeting up would be fun.

Judthepud2 Thu 19-Jan-17 13:27:35

Oh good. Looks like there may be 6 of us then. Shall we make it 9th March?Could someone who knows Edinburgh suggest a venue? Also, when would be the best time for you all? Lunch? Afternoon tea/coffee?

And if anyone else can make it, I'd love to meet you.

I don't think Elegran's seen this yet? I bet she'll want to come if she's not away? Our usual meet up place is the ROSL on Princes St, Judthepud2, but I'm fine with anywhere. The 9th would be ok.

Judthepud2 Thu 19-Jan-17 18:49:44

Let's go with the usual place then Marelli. Would love to meet Elegran too if she can come. Can you alert her to this?

Marelli Thu 19-Jan-17 19:34:30

I've pm'd her, Jud. She'll no doubt see the thread soon, or get back to me. smile

When do you usually meet Marelli? Afternoon? Lunchtime?

EllenT Fri 20-Jan-17 12:51:04

9th is good for me. I'll pm Geminijen and Tubbygran, both of whom are local-ish.

GeminiJen Fri 20-Jan-17 13:25:58

Thanks for the heads up, EllenT....but I can't make that date. I'm house and cat sitting in the south of France for most of March grin Hope you all have a great time wine and that I'm free for the next one

We've been here too. Lovely afternoon tea & one between two is usually plenty. Even better if we can book a seat by the window.

That looks lovely Baubles. As I haven't been to either, could I leave it to you all to agree on venue? Afternoon tea might be a nice idea.

oldgoat Sat 21-Jan-17 10:59:58

Afternoon tea at the National Gallery looks good baubles. Also, it's not far from the station so would be very convenient for me as I'll be travelling back 'down South' after the get-together.

Marelli Sun 22-Jan-17 14:22:49

It's lovely there, baubles - shall we?

Marmight Sun 22-Jan-17 14:36:09

Put me down too please!!

baubles Sun 22-Jan-17 14:47:49
