Have checked with other Gran(we share child minding). It looks like I will be free to come to York on Nov 10th. Can you manage another one at the table ? Would love to meet you all. Brenda
So pleased that you will be joining us kupari . I'd booked an extra space especially for you!
Perhaps jane10 and granniequeenie will be able to come next time to our next meet-up?
I know trains are a bit overcrowded these days greyduster. Hope you'll be comfortable in the guard's van. I had to literally barge my way off a train in Birmingham a few days ago. The aisle was packed with people who refused to move and let anybody on or off the train.
Welcome ginggran . The more the merrier. I've reserved a table for us; it's no problem to add more grans right up to the day before we meet. Côte Brasserie is quite big but it can get busy on Fridays.
Not long to go now 'til the York meetup and now we are seven:- Alygran Artyfarty Ginggran Greyduster Kupari Meadowdew and me - Oldgoat If any other Grans would care to join us for lunch at Côte Brasserie near York Minster at 12.30 on the 10th November, please let me know and I'll add your name to the list.
There is still time for any York Grans (or anyone else who fancies a day out in York) to book a place at our meet-up on Friday 10th November at Côte Brasserie in Petergate at 12.30. Please let me know as soon as possible so that I can book extra places at the table.
Hello to all the Yorkshire Grans who are coming to our meet-up tomorrow. See you inside the restaurant at 12.30. It's too cold to wait outside! I'll get there early so just ask for The Grans' Table. I think there are just 6 of us now. I'll be looking out for you anyway ( though there's always the danger of me inviting some innocent stranger to join the party). Yippee! Can't wait to meet you.
Lovely to meet you all in York today and hope you all arrived home safely. Anyone fancy another meetup in January, maybe before you head off up-North, Kupari?
Yes jane10 it was a very enjoyable meet-up and good food, too. There were six of us, from the left:- Artyfarty, Morningdew, Alygran, me, Kupari and Greyduster who took the photo (she's camera shy!!). Good to be able to put a face to a name.
You all look as though you had a good time but I'm glad I wasn't there. I would have looked like the old woman in the corner. Grans are getting younger all the time.
