Does anyone fancy a lunch-time meet-up in York, perhaps the week of the 6th 'til the 10th of November, before everywhere gets busy with C***** meals?

Lovely photo smile

Glad you all enjoyed your meet up and lunch, lovely photo. Greyduster, you should have got a waitress or someone to take it, then you could have been in it as well!
Oldgoat, my photos from last week are a bit dark, are yours OK?

oldgoat Fri 10-Nov-17 22:17:27

callgirl The waitress did take photos of all six of us but greyduster didn't want her cover blown is camera-shy so she took the photo on my phone.
Thanks for the compliments annsixty .

Unfortunately, my Grantham meet-up photos are all too dark callgirl and show that I was wearing the same outfit as today

oldgoat Fri 10-Nov-17 22:27:19

OK. Here's the only one that wasn't too dark but it only shows you and scribbles from the back. Nice picture of nandalot though.

Nice pic Oldgoat, that`s definitely my best side! I noticed the outfit as well!

Okay, there is a photo of me but, like all photos I have taken, it makes me look like a pudding. However.... for the sake of completing the record, here it is! The diet starts on Monday.....

That's a great photo greyduster I think your camera must be better than mine. I was very full after the meal - good choices for a greedy person like me.

Greyduster Sat 11-Nov-17 13:02:18

At least you don’t look as if you’ve eaten everyone else’s lunch too!! grin.

oldgoat Sat 11-Nov-17 13:07:14

But I wouldn't have minded trying. They all looked delicious (except the moule).

My lunch was certainly lovely and it was great to meet up. Joining Greyduster on the diet! Hope to see you all in January.

I enjoyed my meal. In fact I may go there for my birthday lunch in a couple of weeks. Good choice.

What a lovely looking bunch.....is there a word for a group of grans? It looks like you had a great time and enjoyed meeting up, hope I can make it next time. X

Greyduster Sat 11-Nov-17 16:51:27

I was thinking today about the lunch that you and kupari had, artyfarty. Anything with the word salad in makes me want to make the sign of the cross and flee, but it looked so nice I wish I had had it! Good excuse to go again!

My favourite salad? - Revel salad. Method : open packet, pour into serving dish, eat.
Yum! wink

Artyfarty Sat 11-Nov-17 17:33:37

I’m not a great salad fan either Greyduster but that one had lots of different flavours and textures so it was very tasty.

callgirl1 Sun 12-Nov-17 00:14:30

That`s better Greyduster, lovely photo. If you think you look like a pudding, it`s a good job I can only be seen from the back, I`d give you a run for your money, lol!

Looks like you had a great time! I am moving to Yorkshire in February to be near daughter and take on granny duties. Still deciding where to live (Harrogate? Ilkley? York? ) and busy looking for jobs, houses etc. Am on my own so all a bit daunting, but exciting too! Would love to come to a Jan meet up if it coincides with a visit. Looking forward to exploring this lovely part of the world too....

Artyfarty Mon 20-Nov-17 16:48:03

Millbrook, welcome to Yorkshire, excellent choice! Hope you find somewhere soon.

Greyduster Mon 20-Nov-17 17:51:14

I’ll second that! Bring your thermals though! ?

Millbrook Mon 20-Nov-17 18:49:55

Thanks both. Daughter has warned me about the weather...though I'm moving from Wales, so I'm definitely used to heavy rain! ?

grannyqueenie Tue 21-Nov-17 12:39:41

Yes a very good choice of county, lots of beautiful places to choose from. Good luck with deciding where, I’ve heard it said that Harrogate has a lot of retired colonels and Ilkley has a lot of people who wish they lived in Harrogate...not sure that’ll help! smile

Greyduster Tue 21-Nov-17 12:59:23

Gq grin!

Millbrook Tue 21-Nov-17 14:09:09

Well Ilkley elected a Labour MP at GE2017, so hopefully all these would be Colonels have already gone! But thanks for the heads up!smile
