Re m&s sales, I got the most comfortable pair of skinny jeans ever from an m&s sale in Glasgow the other week for £6. If I wear them with That Jacket, I bet my outfit will average out cheaper than many another. Ta Da! That's the way to do it [non-violent Punch & Judy emoji]!

I am checking with work on Monday to make sure it’s definitely okay but it’s a provisional “Yes please” from me.

Very sad. For the first time I could have been free to come to Edinburgh and there are assorted cousins and friends there and in the Borders I want to visit BUT it’s Book Club that afternoon and and it’s at ours and it’s a “special” one for one member who has just turned 80

I’m soooo disappointed but I can’t make this meetup. My nephew and his family are coming up to Aviemore from Kent that same weekend and we haven’t seen them since their wedding 5 years ago! There are now two little great nieces whom I’ve never seen so we’re having a bit of a family ‘do’ that weekend.

Hopefully I’ll manage Xmas lunch (presuming we’re having one??) as long as it’s after 10th December! I have village Xmas lights, panto and dh has a big birthday the first week, but will be in state of collapse from 10th onwards and in need of reviving!
