As mentioned on previous thread (Ladies who like to lunch in London) I'm just starting this one.
If anyone fancies suggesting a date for a new Meet, or a venue (though Debenhams is pretty central) it would be lovely to see you all.

Just spotted this thread! JL sounds good . Monday better for me.

Pittcity Sun 08-Aug-21 19:41:10

I might be able to come along!!!

grannysyb Sun 08-Aug-21 19:46:40

Could do Mondays during the summer holidays, would love a meetup.

Bellanonna Sun 08-Aug-21 20:14:10

Either day good for me

Charleygirl5 Sun 08-Aug-21 22:23:15

Shall we agree on a Monday- we just need a date now. When do the school holidays finish?

Bellanonna Sun 08-Aug-21 22:26:09

Ours go back 2nd September

Niobe Sun 22-Aug-21 20:45:04

Monday is fine for me too.

It’s been a while since I last logged in here but am looking forward to seeing you all again soon. Haven’t been on public transport yet. What about a Christmas lunch in John Lewis?

loopyloo Fri 12-Nov-21 17:44:00

Sounds brilliant!

Charleygirl5 Sat 13-Nov-21 10:07:01

I am bumping this because I totally missed it yesterday. Do you not think it should be sooner rather than later because of the Christmas rush etc?

Catterygirl Sat 13-Nov-21 10:10:04

Yes. A good idea.

Charleygirl5 Sat 13-Nov-21 14:14:45

This thread does not stay put for more than 5 minutes. I am sure others would like to join us but like myself they are unaware. I will get in touch with Bellanonna and see what she says.

grannysyb Sat 13-Nov-21 17:22:08

Would love to meet up again, Charleygirl, I'll keep watching for your posts.

Charleygirl5 Sat 13-Nov-21 21:37:44

My personal proviso is that everybody who comes must have had their two vaccines + the booster. We have been through too much to dine with refusniks.

Bellanonna Sat 13-Nov-21 23:16:43

Quite agree about the vaccination proviso Charleygirl. I’m hoping anyone coming would actually have had their 3 jabs anyway. Originally Monday was cited as a preferred day. Does that still hold, or are we a bit more flexible now? It will be lovely to meet up again after such a long gap and hope we can arrange something fairly soon.

Charleygirl5 Sun 14-Nov-21 11:56:06

A Monday would be an excellent day for me, preferably meeting around 12 midday as I have problems getting home because of my impaired vision in dusk or dark.

grannysyb Sun 14-Nov-21 14:26:49

Monday would good for me as well.

Charleygirl5 Sun 14-Nov-21 15:02:39

I have looked at the minute menu with no prices and it is fairly dire. I do not know if anybody else agrees with me?

Niobe Sun 14-Nov-21 16:49:57

Monday is fine for me too. I was in JL Oxford Street last week for lunch with a friend and they only had sandwiches and the only hot food was soup. I’m happy with that but others may not be.

Elusivebutterfly Sun 14-Nov-21 16:55:27

I would be interested but haven't yet had my covid booster as there was a wait for an appointment once I became eligible. It is booked. Do you have a date in mind?

Catterygirl Sun 14-Nov-21 17:08:52

I am double jabbed but have only just been called for my booster at venues far from where I live. I am trying to organise it now. So may have to miss the first after COVID-19 meet up. I haven’t been on public transport yet.

Charleygirl5 Sun 14-Nov-21 17:55:51

Catterygirl I was able to walk into my local pharmacy 10 minutes walk away for my booster and flu jab without an appointment. Why do you not google local venues?

Elusivebutterfly Mon 15-Nov-21 09:46:57

Charleygirl - the only pharmacies offered to me were miles away and also a long wait. I have mine booked at the local centre run by GPs and it will be 3 weeks past the date I became eligible.

Niobe Mon 15-Nov-21 20:09:09

I’ve had my 2 shots and the booster and the flu jab?
