As I said on another post "people like me" * crun* I have sent in a question to my party about an issue which concerns me - peoples democracy in action! Seems a sterile activity to try and track down people like me - so the media find out me then what
JC will now have breathing space for a few weeks, and will be able to decide how he wants to continue with PMQs

I loved the picture of Cameron and Osborne. Their faces were like: how dare you come in here and try to change the status quo. I'm not a fan of JC ( although we both voted not to join Europe) but I do love it when people shake things up.

I thought PM's QT was for MPs to put questions to the Prime Minister, often on behalf of their constituents. If JC is going to just questions sent in to him by the general public, doesn't that change the whole nature of parliament? !

And can someone mention to him that his jacket is too big. He could get a homeless person in there with him.

Mp's will still ask questions that isn't changing. What JC is trying to change is the puerile nature of PMQs and to introduce a form of direct democracy. I can't think of anything to object in that

The reading out of questions from joe public just isn't how it's done. Why does he think he can change a procedure that's stood for God knows how long? He's a simplistic little idiot.

I honestly didn't notice - hand on heart , neither did I notice what DC was wearing or anyone else for that matter. I guess if they had been naked or wearing fancy dress then I might have noticed but really in the scheme of things,.............

No that isn't how it has been done - that is the whole point!!!! DC will have great difficulty in trying to trash questions put forward by the voting public, and will have to treat questions from the voter and his "employers" with greater respect, and perhaps with the occasional answer, something he is very bad at.

The way government is carried out is, the public raise their issues with their MPs, who in turn, raise the issue in the House. That can't be changed just because one man thinks he's had a good idea.

What makes you think direct questions from the public will change the manner in which the question is discussed?

That is the theory jing and JC has no intention of changing that. What he is trying to do is change is the playground behaviour. JC is reflecting what thousands of voters say they want changed. Democracy in action.

Because if DC thinks that the voter is directly involved with the questions being asked he will have to treat the questions with more respect or be in danger of loosing votes.

DC may on the other hand not care where the questions come from, and continue to treat some questions with his sneering attitude, bit of a risk I would have thought!
