It seems a strange comparison. Sarah Champion is one of the MPs demanding an enquiry into Orgreave.

The report I read didn't say it was Corbyn who made the "returning miners" statement. It was said to be "a source close to the leader's office" - no name so hard to verify.

I am glad she has asked for her job back , it will open the door for some of the others who were `persuaded` to do it . The PLP are starting to realise who the voters want for leader, even the press are less vitriolic over the last few days .

Women are threatened with rape, MP's are threatened with losing their jobs, Hamas are friends, the wanna be chancellor of the exchequer publicly calls fellow MP's f*****g losers. an MP who explained she resigned because her boss had messed up who was doing what and she was undergoing treatment for cancer at same time was dismissed by a Corbynite on this forum as a moaner .
An office can be broken into by an aide - not good at choosing aids is he - who has a very dubious past. And now striking miners are mocked.

He knows what he is doing and doesn't give a toss , a disgrace to his party and the many good labour MP's who went before him one of the greatest ,Nye Bevan, didn't need the protection of a cult , didn't prance around like the poor man's Hugh Hefner , didn't dodge interviews, didn't sod off on holidays when his party were fighting. Didn't select young audiences before facing a debate. Didn't have aides to rush him away from the press asking questions,

Most MPs have very young aides who are often unpaid interns (which means posh kids, but what can you do?)or very low paid people (which means posh kids who live in London). Are you saying Corbyn should be the exception and not use them, or that he should hide them away in the back room where people can't see them?
My female MP has a very young man, very charming and handsome, in her team, should she then be called a cougar? Of course not!

One remark made some time ago-expressed as an opinion not as a fact which you consistently seem to confuse. Is it reasonable to call someone Hugh Hefner because his aides are young? Something I have tried to explain to you?
Is it reasonable to attribute sayings to him and not apologise or withdraw the remark when you are proved wrong.
By all means post your opinions but try to get some facts involved as well.

I don't know a lot of people but, of the Labour voters I know [mainly my family] and the 'sometimes' Labour voters that I know [friends] the all say that they cannot vote for a party led by this man. For myself I can't actually explain my unease. He does seem to stand for the values that I believe in but there's something about him that I don't trust. And it isn't just from things that I've read or seen on the telly. I've been bombarded by enough lies from those sources over the past few months to pay no attention to what they say. The S.O. [sometime Labour voter; comes from a Labour family, one of them an MP years ago I believe]said last year that he couldn't trust someone who never toed the party line himself and yet comes down heavy on those that do the same now he's leader. I'm meeting up with some family members in a few weeks time who are still very active in the Party [Wrexham area] and I'm hoping to get some feed back from them.

That is the sort of thing many thought in the US BMS but Trump seems to have surprised them by harnessing the normally none political part of the population - the part that feels they are not usually listened to and have been left out of the march to wealth with their labour treated so much as a commodity that their humanity is ignored, or who have seen others in this position.

We know we have that population in this country; some will go to the farther right and some to the farther left. The only thing that can stop people feeling that only those who appear to be separate to the political bureaucracy can help them - on either the right or the left - is to listen to them but at the moment the political bureaucracy is still behaving as the political bureaucracy always do.

I know politics is 'the art of the possible' but no one seems to dream any more what the possible can be.

Who is this 'lover'? I am out of the loop on that one.

The trouble is, all the reports of the media are so biased and distorted that you can't believe any of it.
Most reports are carefully planned to take the focus off the Tories and their problems, and undermine Labour.
I've got the voting papers and will vote for Corbyn.

There are a lot of 'leaders of movements' over history whom people thought would never get elected but they did and some of them inflicted untold poverty, repression, bloodshed on the people in their pursuit to keep power. But the opposite is also true. Some came from nowhere and delivered great benefits. Trouble is you never know which is which until it is too late. Life has taught me that everything can change on the spin of a coin.
