No problem! The UK's total exports are worth about £500 billion a year, so £10 billion is very insignificatnt.

Sorry MaizieD if I gave you a shock with my little joke (OK - it wasn't funny). I think I was just surprised to see him. I must admit although I am not a fan of his I am happy for him to bring the North back to the table as TM certainly hasn't mentioned it.

funny you should mention Sunderland. I was talking to someone yesterday who reckoned they had been told by someone fairly senior at Nissan, Sunderland that they wouldn't leave the UK even if we Brexited because a)The workforce was the most efficient in their European plants and b) the inevitable devaluation of sterling would mean that they would still be profitable even if there were a 10% tariff on cars sold to Europe.

Oh come on Jane. You said Jen was "economical" with the truth which is a euphemism used in parliament where the are not allowed to say people have lied. Jen dignified that with a reply.

Harrogate - my nearest town - voted remain too. Now go and look at the map to see how the rest of North Yorkshire, etc., voted Jane. That is your job not mine; mine it to put over my argument yours is, yes, to clarify that and add more details but not, I would say, by saying someone else is "economical with the truth", unless you are happy to put people's backs up.
